Chapter twelve:Don’t you have something to say?.

Becky’s POV

It’s been a week since I left the hospital.My arm is still lying lifeless,I have tried several times to lift it on it own but all to no avail.Gabriel and I are always giving fighting over any thing that comes in hand at that point which now makes him come home late so as to avoid another quarrel,but it still not helping issues.

“Ahh ahh...my arm,damn you Gabriel,damn you”I cursed,today he came a little early,and now at night he slept on my paralyzed arm

“Am sorry,did I hurt you?”he asked sleepy

“Really ?if you hurt me?why then did scream in pain?”I asked kicking him with my foot,with this gesture he pined me down to the bed

“I can take every nonsense from you,but don’t ever try hit me again,understood?”He said and shift to the end of the bed,though I was still in pain i chose not to disturb him.After tossing from one side of the bed to another,I became restless and uncomfortable,the pain was still there,honestly if I was alone,I would have cried myself to sleep,but not when he is here,not in his presence.

“Is the arm still hurting?”he asked but,I kept quiet minding my pain.He stood up from the bed and went to the wardrobe brought out a first aid kit,he sat close to me and gently pull me up,he tried to take my right arm but I pushed his hand away

“Do you want to do this now?,just let me apply some barm and then go to sleep......you’re such a problem”he murmured the last sentence but I still heard him,why won’t i be?it was midnight and ever where was dead silence.after he applied the barm,he massage it and put me to bed like I was a kid,no doubt about him being taller than me,he also has this muscular arms and strong shoulders,to rap it all he has a good body figure,can’t believe i thought of him this way Argh!.

It’s been weeks Since summer last saw Gabriel,he has been giving excuses that he was busy with work,today is Saturday and Gabriel planned on not leaving the house as he has some things to put together.Becky was in the sitting room when she heard the door bell and ordered Samson to check who it was,at the door Samson found summer standing at the door looking stressed and worried,he quickly let her in and offered her to sit as he would go call Gabriel,Becky sat quietly looking at her without blinking,when summer finally realized Becky’s presence and the stares she has been giving,summer became uncomfortable with Becky’s presence neither are her eyes doing any good,as for Becky,she was enjoying summer’s uneasiness,summer kept shifting from one position to another.Gabriel has been watching them for a while,he found Becky hard to deal with,some how he managed to give a weak smile and strode down,when summer saw him coming she wanted to run towards him but the gaze stares Becky was shooting at her won’t let her move.Finally Gabriel stood beside summer.

“Ah thank Goodness you’re here”summer said turning to him but Becky’s eyes never left her

“What happened?is anything the matter”Gabriel asked casually

“Umm it’s been a while since we last spend some time together so I was wondering if we could do that today”summer said not minding if Becky was around them.Gabriel has really been busy these days,he hardly ever calls her unlike before,things were now different ever since Becky return home from the hospital,he has somehow tried his best to take care of Becky who in turn say thank you with an endless argument and some times pointless quarrels.

“I am a little busy these days Summer,I thought I told you that Godwin resigned,and I am still looking for someone who can take his place”Gabriel tried to explain,but summer wasn’t the type that takes no for an answer pouted like a child.Becky wasn’t move by her attitude but instead focused on her like a child who got thrilled by some sort of show.

“Ok fine we can go,but we won’t stay long as I have something important to fix”Gabriel finally agreed,as they took a step forward,a cold voice stopped them from making another step.

“Don’t you think you’re forgetting something?”Becky asked,Gabriel taps his breast pocket and pants pocket in a way of checking if he had left anything,when he finally looked at Becky to respond he found her looking at summer like some animal watching her prey.

“ Becky is anything the matter?”Gabriel asked calmly as he probably knows what was on her mind right now.

“Aren’t you forgetting something miss-What was the name again?”Becky asked more calmly but the sound of her words were deadly.

“Something like what?”summer asked confidently.

“Something like,saying good bye”Becky replied

“Ok good bye”summer said unsure of what Becky was driving at.

“Hmm Off course good bye for now,but I will see you soon,and I mean soon.Enjoy while it lasts”Becky said and gave her a cold smile before leaving them alone,Gabriel was not sure of what Becky said but one thing was certain,that she meant every word she said.

Gabriel and summer left the house,but Gabriel mind was still Becky,he starts to think what she might be doing now,he wondered if she won’t be lonely and alone at home,since the servants are having today’s off,Samson was going to see his parents and would return in two days from today which means only Becky would be alone at right home now,not that the house wasn’t safe,he just got worried for no reason.He quickly ate his food and made excuses just to leave.

“But you promise to spend some time with me,why the haste now?”Summer asked not satisfied with his excuse

“Summer not now,and besides I told you that I would return home in time so that I can finish my work”Gabriel said while getting up to leave.

“Call me when you reached home” he said walking out of the restaurant.

Main why Becky was at her fathers house sitting with her mom who requests her to come for a visit.

“So how are you two doing”Mrs Nicholas asked

Becky’s POV

Uh how else do you expect us to do

“Mom I am doing just fine,as for him I don’t know,neither do I care to know”I answered

“Becky dear,I know it’s a little difficult for you two,but can you at least give him a chance to try”my mom said

Really mom?give him a chance,what chance do you think he wants that I have not given him already,is it the chance of letting him stay with the love of his life,or letting him bring summer home at night?which bloody chance have I not given him,I just rolled my eye as I have no answer to her question.

“Ok fine let’s forget out you married life for now...hm tell me where do you want to work?”my said asked changing the topic which i am grateful for.

“I don’t know yet,besides I am still yet to recover,and if not for that summer girl did,I would have been half way through the movie I was featured,now I bet Noel won’t give me another chance,and my role is given to someone else”I replied dryly

“I understand how you feel,how about you do something different thing this time hmm?”my mom said with a knowing smile on her face,I know she has been up to something lately.

“Spit it out mom,what do you have under your sleeve?”I asked interested

“Aw i was thinking maybe you should try work as a secretary,you know your Dad is not getting younger,you could use this opportunity to learn from him before he retires”my mom said,honestly there is nothing wrong with me working with my Dad just that I will be treated differently from other workers,and you have the ones who are jealous of you,you also have those who are better than me and when I start working as the new secretary they might not want to association with me.I might be given a nickname such as;daddy’s girl and so on.

“Mom the idea of working with Dad is not that easy,besides i don’t want to work there.When I’m fully fine I will consider working as a secretary,but for now let’s prepare something for dinner,I will have dinner here”I said standing up

“Then we should call Gabriel here,we all can have dinner,you both can ride home together” my mom insists

“No no don’t,actually he is kinda busy these days,I don’t think he can make it”I said sharply stopping my mom from making the call,with the look in her face she knows that i don’t want Gabriel here so she let things be.
