Chapter four:the wedding dress

Gabriel POV

After I left the party,James and Mathew told me what Becky did,I was so a shamed of myself that my parents could even choose a decent girl even if she was ugly,I was embarrassed,thank goodness that I didn’t invite any of my business partners they would have mocked me and disgrace me in public when it comes to showing their wives.

Anyway it’s now four days to the wedding and summer will be coming as well so we need to do some shopping,uh I can’t even imagine going shopping with that clown.of all boutique we choose to shop from my own store G&B clothesline.

Becky POV

“Really Andy why G&B,we could have chosen some other cheap boutique with cheap clothes,it’s not like i want to be a queen on the wedding,so long i won’t be naked anything can serve”I complained as Andy kept pushing me to enter the shop

“Shot up fool what do you know,you have already make ugly your self in front of him already,don’t you think it’s time you let him see the beauty in you”Andy scold as we walked through the wedding dress section.i just rolled my eyes,no one can force me to do what I don’t like,but if you succeed in forcing me then I will give you the results you never expected,and that’s what am doing now.

After looking through the dresses the sales girl showed us I decided to try one on,its not that fancy or shabby put at least it’s not what i like for a wedding dress,so i think it’s the right dress

“Oh my God Becky this Dress is horrible and terrifying,which bride wear this,and who even come up with this design”Andy shouted as she see me in the dress.truth be told she was shocked and that is what I wants the ‘husband’ to be ‘shocked’,I smirked at my own thoughts.

“Don’t tell me you’re taking it?”she ask

“Off course I will.....here go pay for the dress while I look for a matching shoes Okay” I said throwing the dress to her,she just shake her hands In frustration and left for the pay points.

On getting there she meant Gabriel and summer holding hands like love birds,Andy ignore them but summer recognize her from the party and decided not to let her go so freely

“Hey you,didn’t your friend accompany you? or you’re asked to follow Gabriel’s moves?”summer asked sharply,Gabriel turned to see who summer was talking to but didn’t recognize Andy

“Babe do you know her?”he asked calmly

“Why would I know her,she is your...oh sorry,she is..what’s her name again.....Becky,she is Becky’s friend I saw both of them at the party”summer said glaring at Andy. Though both ladies were beautiful,summer couldn’t help be feel jealous. Just then she saw the wedding dress “ho la what a beautiful wedding dress you’ve got right there,did she ask you to buy it You her....I understand that she has a bad taste,but yours seem to be no good when it comes to fashion too”summer said trying hard not to laugh,Gabriel was a embarrassed so he took summer away from there.

“Honestly i don’t blame you,I blame the bride and the groom family for all this,Becky has never wore any of these clothes in her life,and now situations are pushing her to the line”Andy said as summer had already left,she paid for the dress and Becky soon came out with a not so good looking pair of shoes

“What..is not a dream wedding so? and besides you don’t have to worry the dress will cover it up”Becky console shrugging her shoulder.Andy just kept quiet and allowed her to be.

After shopping they decided to go eat something and visit the movie or go to the park.after eating they settled for the park,though they have fun but non of them made Becky give I genuine smile.each time she laughed it was that of a sarcastic laugh.

When they finally had enough they sat at the street chair watching the kids play freely,no one gave them rules they did what ever they wanted.

Becky POV

Wow this was how my life was back then doing and getting whatever I’ll want,anything.these children are growing up with hopes and dreams they wish to bring to reality,so did I,but what happens now I don’t even know where to start from thinking,what and how did I mess up my life like this,this is not what I wanted,my dreams and hopes are lost not a single track is left,everything is gone all with one bloody phone call,argh.things just got from bad to worse.

And now I am to marry someone that I barely know,and he is not even willing to see my face.Yeah,Yeah looks at those couples holding hands,sharing hugs,kiss and been romantic,I can’t even imagine any of these in my some to be married life.God help me so as to prevent me from doing something that I may regret,though my life is already a mess......

“Did I tell you who i saw at the boutique?”Andy asked stopping me from my world of mess

“Uh..Ah What did you say?”I asked blankly

“I said,guess who I saw at the boutique”she replied

“Oh I bet you saw one of your dreams husband”I said not interested to know who

“C’mon don’t be like this,it’s makes me feel like I treated you badly”she said pouting like a kid

“Just say what ever you want Okay,I got ears all over me”I said rolling my eyes

“Ok I saw you husband.....sorry soon to-be,with his girl friend at the boutique,you need to hear how she insulted the dress,and the look of disgust in her eyes and the way your ‘husband’ was looking at the dress with total disappointment,disgust anger,rage,shame....urgh God knows if I hadn’t kept quiet she could have been in the nearest hospital by now,I mean she spear no chance to insult you”Andy said.and or I could do was just nod my head,what do you Want me to do...nothing,but that doesn’t mean I don’t have plans for summer,off course I do.

“So what do you say about that Becky?”Andy asked since I have said nothing except nodding,I looked at her and gave a devilish smirk

“Don’t worry about her girl,let her enjoy while it lasts”I said and stood up while Andy follows.

Gabriel POV

As soon as I took summer out of the boutique,I took her to her apartment and went to my house straight,I didn’t know what was wrong with me but something was not right ever since I saw the wedding dress, like who does that even if the wedding was not of love can’t she,or doesn’t she have a dream wedding....argh what am I thinking she is ugly so are her taste.Damn it why me?,why do I have to go through all this?,this is not what I want my life to become.i thought they say one is an architect of his own life,but mine is not.ahh at least am grateful that wedding is only for family only James and Mathew are coming as friends from my side.i don’t have any uncles or aunts from my Dad side so,only Aunty Abby is from my mom side,we’re such a small family,thank goodness that Wills won’t make it to the wedding he is also my best friend and cousin and a good talker.So everything is settled on my side,except for the fact that summer is coming along as well but I don’t care.

The boys were doing a bachelors party at a private club mainly for wealthy people and families,the club was own by Mathew’s Dad,Mathew has his own business,he is a doctor while James is also in the business league as the CEO of H&mens clothing

“Guys wait,what do you intended to do on your wedding night”James asked half drunk

“W..What would I do on my wedding...n..night right,ok I will drive down to summer’s apartment and spend the night there.any better idea?”I answer honestly

“Come dude don’t be mean to her on the first day...”Mathew murmurs

“Yes bro,just let it pass,maybe you can start this attitude with her after a week or so”James agreed with Mathew

“What ever,I already made things clear within her that day,so stay way from my business”I said not like a warning,since the boys know how i acts,they kept quiet and continued sipping their beer.
