Our first date

Couple of days has gone by and Josh has been acting indifferent to this sham of a marriage, the wedding is fast approaching and I've been seeing him lately.

Even though he shows no interest to this wedding, I'm not expecting him to act lovingly, at least he shouldn't act like he is the only one being forced into this marriage, I also don't want to get married to him.

I was at the office at Blue-dorm as my secretary brings me a bouquet of flowers.

"Who is that from?" I asked her.

"It's from your fiance" she drops the flower on my desk and left.

I picked up the flowers and read the letter kept in the side of the flower wrap.

'Dinner at Peak hotel, be there at 8pm and by the way put on a black gown, that's better on you.'

'From Fiance'.

"Hmm dinner, looks like I'm having dinner at that fancy hotel he owns, such a jerk, telling me to put on a black gown, you're not the boss of me," I said as I squeeze the letter and dumped the flowers in the bin and sat down.

"Why do you keep staring at me?, you flower, I shouldn't punish you because of that rude brat" I took out the flower from the dustbin.

"Poor you, you smell so nice, if only this was from Stanley, I've called him so many times but he didn't pick up".

6:30 pm (On my way back home).

I rushed straight home to get dressed and ready for my date.

"I have no idea what to expect from the dinner date" I slip into the tub to cool my tensed muscle.

"I really needed this" I closed my eyes and laid in the water for some minutes before getting out

I wrapped myself in a towel and got back to my room as Regina our Maid, knocks the door.

"You may enter Regina".

"This is the black gown you requested for ma'am" she says.

"Drop it on the bed" I said.

She drops it and leaves, I stared at my black gown.

"you know what, I'm not putting you on tonight" I packed it back into my wardrobe, as I pick out my red long gown with a low back and a slit that reaches my thigh, that brings out my curves.

"Perfect, this is what I'm gonna wear,"

I wore my red gown and threw on some golden heels,I could have worn my black heels but I don't want anything black on my body, since Mr grumpy thinks black things fits me, I put on some make up,took my bag and left.

Getting to the hotel, as I walked out of my car a man in suit came over.

"Ma'am, can I help you with your bag?" he asked

"Yes you can" he collected my purse from me.

"Mr Brown has been waiting for you" he said as he leads me to where Josh is seated.

I sat down on the table, as Josh stares at me quietly, seems like he's judging me.

"I hate to be kept waiting, why are you late? and what are you putting on?, that's not bla—"

"Sorry I kept you waiting I just had a lot on my plate at the office and I prefer red to black,so I wore this" I said smirking at him.

"Next time, just follow my orders" he frowns slightly.

"And why should I?, I'm not a maid you order around, it's just a—."

He gets on one knee,

"You're the most beautiful creature ever made, you make my heart skip a bit and I don't want to be apart from you any longer, I want to be with you for the rest of my life, will you marry me" he said.

"Wait what?".

Cameras started flashing I didn't even realize paparazzi were surrounding us, he is pretending, I almost fell for that, I'm actually stupid,he is still on one knee, looks like I have to play my part now

"Yes Josh, yes I'll love to be your wife till eternity".

I said giving a bright smile, he slips the ring on my finger, tears roll down my cheeks, I just couldn't control it.

I don't know why, but this is the first time someone ever proposed to me and I've always wanted this, Josh gets back up and held my hand, I was nervous and shaky.

"May I have this dance?" he said as he drags me to the middle, the restaurant is quite spacious, it feels like we are in a ballroom, did he arrange all this.

Cameras just kept clicking and flashing, he is really good at acting, for a while there I almost fell for it, we finally stopped and went back to our seats, Everyone was just staring both men and women were murmuring and whispering.

"Wow,you even faked a cry you're really good at acting" he whispers in my ear.

We both sat down,the waiter came to us

"May i take your order"

"Yes I'll love fried chicken and a glass of any of your Blue-dorm wine". I smiled.

"Wait you are going to have fried chicken?, I'm sorry but you can't have that" he said

"Why can't I have fried chicken?".

"Because I say so, you can't even get drunk right now, cameras are everywhere, you don't want to ruin my reputation of my future wife getting drunk" he said with a stern look.

"Waiter why don't you serve others around, we'll call you when we have decided on what to get" I said.

The waiter leaves us.

"How dare you tell me what I can't eat, you're such a control freak, and I own Blue-dorm, I can't get drunk, i know how to drink responsibly" I said smiling, I don't cause a scene.

"I just don't want you to eat chicken"

"You must be kidding me,I am eating chicken and there is nothing you're gonna do about that" I called the waiter

"Like I formally requested,I'll have fried Chicken but instead of wine give me fruit juice since I'll be driving back home"

"Yes ma'am, and Mr Brown what will you be having?" he asked.

"The regular"Josh said as he faces me with a cold gaze.

"You're not the boss of me, so I'll eat what I want, My dear husband to be" I said smiling.

The dinner ended immediately we were done eating.

"I will drive you home" Josh said.

"But I drove my car here,I'll drive myself home"

"I will ask on of my boys to drive it home for you" he said

"But—"

"It's not like I want to ride in a car with you, but people are watching it will be rude of me to let my wife to be drive home herself" he said as he opens the car door and I entered, I gave my car key to the guy and we drove off.

"The ride was absolutely awkward and so damn long, I finally reached home and got off his car, Josh drove off without a goodbye.

"A rude brat will always be a rude brat".

One of Josh's minions arrives with my car and hands me the key

"Thank you" I said to him

"I serve the Brown's family, it's my utmost desire to satisfy a new member" he bows as he walks away.
