GIADA Sitting at Bauer’s kitchen table, I take out my grandmother’s grimoire. It belongs to my mom now but Valentina and I are free to use it since it will be ours someday.  “You think your grimoire will ever be that thick?” Bauer asks, leaning against his counter, beer in hand.  “Probably not. My nonna was a total badass. She and Dottie had some of the craziest stories,” I smile up at him. “You seem pretty badass too,” he smirks. “Oh yeah?”  “Yeah. You’ve changed.
