chapter four
with his mother gone, his grandmother had taken on the responsibility of raising him and his sister. she had already h raised her kids and most of her grandchildren, all of which had chosen to rebel. so when it came time for his tur, she had little patience. he would recieve harsh beatings for his mistakes which he never made more than once. he had even watched her punch his sister directly in the face for calling their grandmother a b***h, leaving her nose pouring blood but luckily not broken. he had once made the mistake of loaning out a video game that he wasn't able to get back from his friend cause it was stolen. but to her it didn't matter. it was deserving of a barretment of punches and slaps until he had fallen to the ground,to be followed with a few good kicks for good measure.
But even through the beatings he knew that his grandmother loved him tremendously for he was her favorite too. she had dated on him, teaching him the value of an education. he had always done well in school and because of that she had let him join in a bowling league at the bowling alley right down the street from where they lived. right from the start he showed tremendous skill and ability and would go on to win every tournament he had joined, as well as taken first place in every league he was in. he even went on to play in a tournament with real professionals at the age of 11 and had beaten every on he had bowled against. all of his coaches had the same mindframe that he would one day go pro and take the bowling world by storm. but he had never gotten the opportunity. he was soon to come.to live in life's harsh realities. it took him four long years to realize that his mom was never going to come back again. a young brain has a hard time with loss. the human brain can cope with grief in many different ways. but when the realization had hit him, his will to live vanished. he even plan Ed it one night on the phone with his little girlfriend. it.must have really scared the poor girl, and was left to cry ,while being looked upon and not go unnoticed by her parents.when that had questioned her what was the matter. she had relunctly told them of his plans to take his own life. the girls parents took action and called the authorities. this was the first time the boy had ended up in cuffs.
chapter 5
the police had shown up to his grandmother's house and the officer informed his grandmother that they needed to see me. although he was still a young boy, hole had fought them like he was a man. but three on one, the boys efforts were futile. he was taken into custody and placed against his will at the county hospital on unit lock down with three other problemed children. they were a few years older than he was but he had kinda bonded with them. they were all delinquent, and they had helped him understand that he had a reason to live. and he needed to do it on his own. the boy was only 12 when he had used his one phone call to inform his grandmother of his plans to leave the proverbial nest. he knew that his grandmother hadbbeen through more than any woman should have to. she had endured the same physical abuse she would intern pass on. he knew she was tired. he had said with mom.gonenhe needed to be a man. as foolish as it might sound, nevertheless his grandmother had agreed with him. "you're right" she solemnly showed she had the same like mind. relunctly she had let.him go, off by himself to face the cruel ,cruel.world.
