I'm not sure if it's appropriate for me to hug him back or push him away from me.
"Fer... Fernando!" I called his name while stuttering, I called out his name.
He sniffed his nose and drew away from me before forcing a smile.
His eyes were twinkling and he appeared to be about to cry.
What made him want to cry?
"Are you okay, Fernando?" I was concerned because I didn't know how someone I barely knew would hug me because he was scared.
Fernando made an effort to appear brave as he gazed deeply into my blue eyes.
"Since you ate a little, why don't I tell the maids to bring you some food you'll enjoy?"
Fernando asks me a question, then reaches out his hands and gently caresses my cheek while smiling.
I was expecting to flinch at his touch, but surprisingly, I felt at ease beneath it.
