Despite my ex-mates interruption, the engagement party was wonderful. Bryaton and I danced, we drank, we thanked everyone for their gifts that we had sent home to open at a later date. We ate the most delicious food, and mingled with everyone. Mostly, everyone wanted to talk to me about my ex-mates, and I found myself explaining my life's story again and again, but I didn't mind. If Brayton thought this would stop them from starting a war, and kept everyone safe, then I'd do my part. Even though I had an amazing night, I was still glad to go home.
