Chapter 25: See You Tonight
(Aria's POV)
The air in Dominic's private den was stifling. His piercing golden eyes pinned me in place, his Alpha dominance nearly suffocating. My wolf stirred uneasily, betraying the whirlwind of emotions I refused to show on my face.
"You’ve slept with me," he said in a low, dangerous tone. "Now you stand before me, acting as if nothing ever happened?"
I swallowed hard, fighting to keep my voice steady. "I’m here for the interview, Lord Blackthorn. Nothing more, nothing less." I forced a lightness into my tone that I absolutely did not feel.
