Odette glared at Triston as he turned his back on her, walking toward her door.
"Tiger, wait! What do you mean you don’t want to talk about this? Why don’t you want to talk about us? Is it because of Sage?" She asked with her lips pressed together. Triston paused and turned back to look at her.
"Yes, it’s because of Sage. She is the only one I love," he replied.
"Lies! You didn’t say that when you wanted to get married to me." She snapped, frowning.
"I wanted to get married to you out of pity, okay! You were around me for a long time, begging for my love... I never loved you. When I was going out with you, I was there, but my heart wasn’t. I couldn’t stop thinking about Sage. I felt like I was wronging her. She is the only one I love. Don’t make things harder than they already are."
