I placed my son on the bed and lay next to him, putting my hand around him to prevent him from falling off the bed. As I slowly closed my eyes, he wasn’t crying anymore; he was mumbling things and playing, moving his tiny legs. After taking a nap, I slowly opened my eyes. The noise in the room where I was was deafening. A lot of people were talking at the same time that I couldn’t hear what they were saying; they were talking amongst themselves.
