Vivian pov I calmly picked up the room key, offering no further explanation. Instead, I smiled seductively, "I’ll just take it as a compliment from you Scarlett, saying I have the charm to attract men. Unlike her, who has tried everything but still can’t get into Dominic Blackwood’s bed." Scarlett Hayes's face turned pale, her fingers nearly digging into her palm. Over the years, she had indeed used every trick sje could find, but Dominic Blackwood remained indifferent, making her question her own allure as a woman. However, she refused to lose to me. Swallowing her bitterness, she forced a smile, "Vivian Carter, to be honest, I’m already pregnant with Dominic’s child." When I had made the decision to divorce, I had forced myself to cut ties with Dominic Blackwood. But hearing this news, a sharp pain shot through my heart. I almost forgot that Scarlett Hayes had always been Dominic’s ideal woman. With such beauty by his side, how could he possibly remain faithful? After the spasm of pain subsided, I instinctively asked, "How far along are you?" Scarlett lifted her chin slightly, "Three months." I instinctively placed my fingers on my flat abdomen. If my child was healthy, it would also be three months along. This meant that while Dominic was with me, he was still frequently with Scarlett Hayes. Suddenly, I felt a mix of disgust and anger. My child had done nothing wrong; why couldn’t it be born safely, while the offspring of those two could thrive without a care? Seeing the hint of red in my eyes, Scarlett felt an inexplicable sense of satisfaction. It seemed that in this silent war, she had emerged victorious, while I had suffered a complete defeat. Though I had changed, I still lacked ambition. Every time the topic of Dominic Blackwood came up, my true feelings would betray me. To strike a blow, Scarlett leaned closer to my ear, "Vivian Carter, if it weren't for you using that kidney to tie Dominic down, he would have been with me openly by now. So, if you step aside quickly, who knows? The Blackwood family might still find something to offer you for the rest of your life, and you won’t have to resort to selling yourself." I let out a cold laugh, suddenly grabbing a vase from the hallway shelf and smashing it against the wall with a loud crash. Holding the sharp edge against Scarlett Hayes's stomach, I hissed, "Scarlett, it seems you've got things twisted. The one who should be bowing down is you. If I refuse to back down, you'll forever be nailed to the pillar of shame, and your child will be born a bastard!" My movements were swift and filled with a chilling intensity, instantly rendering Scarlett speechless, her breath caught in her throat. After a moment, she managed to steady her trembling teeth and said, "Vivian, you have to... you have to be honest. You promised to let Dominic go free." "Hah! A shameless mistress like you dares to lecture me on integrity?" Scarlett panicked, thinking I was having second thoughts. "Even if you drag this out, Dominic won't look at you again; he'll only grow to despise you more!" My eyes were filled with disgust. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you and your lover get what you deserve. But remember, stay out of my way, or I’ll make sure that child in your belly never sees the light of day!" I tossed the broken pieces into the trash, not realizing that my fingers had been cut, blood trickling down to the floor. Scarlett slid down the wall, a wave of self-loathing washing over her as she realized she had been intimidated by my powerful presence. What was there to fear for a woman who was about to be discarded and had no one to rely on? I was beautiful, but beauty paired with poverty spelled disaster. Scarlett was certain that without the support of the Blackwood family, I would suffer greatly. Once she stood up, she quickly texted Luisa kim: "Find a few reliable paparazzi to keep an eye on Vivian Carter." She had quietly noted down the hotel and room number of the card she had seen earlier, just waiting to catch me in a compromising situation with a man. If I clung to Dominic Blackwood and refused to divorce, she would release the video, turning me into a publicly shamed woman. Under the pressure of public opinion, I would have no choice but to leave, especially since the Blackwood family valued their reputation. With such a scandal, how could I possibly stay in the Blackwood family? If I and Dominic managed to divorce smoothly, the video would still be a powerful tool in her hands. If one day I accused her of being a mistress, Scarlett could release the video to prove that I had acted first and was at fault. As I walked into the hotel, I turned to James scott and said, "I'll keep the video call going. If you notice anything unusual, rush in immediately." James scott lazily replied, "Vivian, with your skills, who could possibly touch you? Even if I went in, it would just be to notify the family to come collect the body." My voice dropped to a serious tone. "James, I had a kidney transplant three years ago." After a long silence, he cursed under his breath, "Damn it, Dominic Blackwood is such a coward!" Being in the medical field himself, he understood the complications thatcame with a kidney transplant. Not only did it require lifelong medication, but there were also many restrictions. For an ordinary person, it might just mean being a bit weaker, but for me, it meant losing many opportunities and qualifications. "Vivian, if it’s too risky, we shouldn’t go. You have plenty of assets under your name; just pulling one out could easily overshadow most groups. There’s no need to confront her with your half-dead affection." I gave him a light glance. "You know the Hayes family has been in the fashion industry for generations, and that’s something Scarlett Hayes takes pride in. I want to make her lose gracefully, to the point where she has to accept defeat." I could allow those two to have their moment, but that didn’t mean my dignity could be trampled on. I wanted Scarlett to understand that her so-called victory was merely a gift from me, and she would never be able to act superior in front of me. I placed my phone in my bag, ensuring the camera hole was exposed and everything was well concealed before I knocked on the door. The person who opened the door was Dominic Blackwood. He had just showered, his hair still damp, with droplets cascading down his chiseled chest, pooling in the towel wrapped around his waist. His face was already flawless, and combined with his model-like physique, he presented a striking visual impact. I stood there for a moment, stunned. I never expected that the partner Marvis styles had mentioned would be him. My shocked expression made him think I was just another infatuated admirer. In the past, I would always rush to apologize after causing a scene, and it seemed this time would be no different. He felt an inexplicable surge of happiness for a brief moment, but he didn’t let it show on his face. Instead, he curled his lips in a slightly disdainful smirk and said, "Don't think that I can forgive you so easily."
