"I do," I breathe and walk past him back out into the hall. The only room I haven't checked yet is the one he meant to reserve for our playroom. The dark oak door to it is closed, and my heart is skipping somewhere in my throat as I approach it. I know Mark is watching me very closely, because I can feel his gaze like a raging forest fire all along my back, even though I'm still wearing my coat. I throw the door open wide before I can change my mind. The room is completely empty, just as it was that first night.
