"You left me alone in a hotel room you had no intention of returning to," I say instead. "I had every intention of returning, time permitting," he says and lays his hands on my hips. I hoped he was going to hold me, so I sway a little as he just moves me and walks to the window to check the street outside. He's all purpose as he stands off to the side of the window, so no one outside can see him. It seems odd, but he's probably just checking to see if his car is alright.
