  Lilith's POV   The food on the table looked so good, but neither of us had an appetite. I watched as Rebecca kept crying, and even though I wanted to comfort her, I couldn't. I needed answers, to understand what really happened.   "I'm sorry. I just can't help but tear up when I talk about this," she said, trying to brush it off. I didn't like how she made light of it when it was clearly hurting her.   "How did my dad meet my mom?" I asked, steering the conversation back to the real questions.   "They met through my brother."
