Synopsis (Part I)

600 Words
Let me introduce you to Maureen Lopez. A Filipina-s***h-Japanese woman, young and successful heir of Paz Logistics in the Philippines. Her late mother was a Japanese woman whose family migrated to the Philippines before the 2nd World War, and eventually, built their business. Little did they know that the Nakada, even here in the Philippines, established their Yakuza Organization. It was now a secret organization passed from their generations. Let’s go back to Maureen. Maureen is a beautiful woman. Since she is mixed, she acquired the necessary beauty of both Filipino and Japanese standards. She is quite eccentric. She works hard to tend to her father’s burden through their booming logistics company. Her life became different when her father assigned her a secretary. His name was Anton. He was very supportive, and she noticed that he had feelings for him, but she did not. She tries to kick him out of his job and finds another job position that’s far away from her. But he begged not to, because the salary was big, and he had a comatose younger sibling. She took pity on Anton but on the condition that he would not show his feelings again. During their work, maybe because Maureen knew that he had feelings for her, she became very attentive to his actions, which led to her having a feeling for Anton also. His father and his stepmother did not oppose their relationship. Life starts to crumble when one of their cargo planes crashes on Guam. It made a huge damage to their business. After the incident, disasters are followed to her family. Her Stepmother died. The investors and stockholders are declining. His father resented it, it made him have heart failure. Their opponents took advantage of the organization's weakness and went out to overthrow it. However, despite the bad luck happening to Maureen, she still firm and collect to find a way into every problem. Plus, Anton never leaves her side. What Maureen feared had happened, her father had died. “Father, why did you leave me too?” Anton did not fail to sympathize with her. She is very thankful that she still has a family that supports her and is ready to help him at any time. After the day, she was still looking at the graveyard of her father that had been buried in the ground this afternoon. Anton draped his white coat over Maureen's shoulders to keep her from getting cold in the windy night and standing for a long time. Maureen sighed. "I don't want to leave yet." A long silence before Anton responded. "It is cold out here. You might get sick." "I don’t care." "Alright. Tomorrow we will come here again. You need to rest for now," Anton said while patting Maureen's back. Maureen started crying again. "No! Tomorrow I will wake up to the fact that my father is dead? That there is nothing left? Everything is gone! What will I do, Anton? How can I carry it out without my father?" Maureen turned and knelt at the tombstone. She still has many problems that need her attention. "It can't be helped then," he heard what Anton said. He closed the barrel of the g*n and held the hammer. Maureen was very familiar with its sound. She looked up. And turned her back to slowly face Anton. Now, her knees lost force and her whole body was weakened. In front of her, was his beloved looking at him intently, his g*n pointed at her, and it was a foreign expression he normally sees in his lover.
