Chapter 1: Alistair

I knew the instant that Serena had completed the agreement. It never occurred nor crossed my mind that she would complete the agreement let alone so quickly. I mean there can't be a lot of humans that would say a phrase like that. I laughed at myself as I realized that that woman was far craftier than what I had given her credit for. Most Mer-woman were,in their own right in anyway, but Serena had a more sinister side to her. I can only imagine how she completed the task. I sighed as I looked around my cave. There was a lot I needed to prepare before the one that was chosen came to me. Shaking my head I began to swim towards the shelves built in to the walls,filled with shell containers that held different materials and poisons along with herbal medicines and potions. My ears perked at the gentle yet hurried sound of fins breaking through the water. Someone was heeding to my cave. I dropped a container and swam towards the entrance only to roll my eyes mentally when I saw the mer that looked like Serena swimming towards me with an angry look on his face. Oh,boy. Just great. I sigh and shake my head. 

"Where is my sister?"He asks as soon as he was close enough.

"I'm sorry,who are you?"I ask crossing my arms over my chest,my bright green and slightly blue tail swishing back and forth in annoyance. This is the second time that I had been interrupted today and I know I wasn't going to be nice about it. The mer kingdom wasn't so far away from where I lived on the outskirts so it wasn't much of a surprise that someone reacted to her disappearance and rumors so quickly. 

"I'm the King's son,which means you had been talking to my sister the princess earlier. So tell me where she is or I will tell my father that you had abducted her,witch."He says and I ignored him, Turning my back to him, Which in hindsight wasn't the brightest idea but I realized that a little to late.  My arms were yanked behind me while the merman's dark tail wrapped around my own green and blue one. 

It wouldn't have been a problem had it not been for the pressure sensors inside my tail,all sirens and mer-folk have them. These sensors allow us to feel pain,pleasure, temperature changes in the water,stimulation and s****l arousal. And because of this its forbidden to touch another's tail unless they say its alright. Or if one's courting a potential mate. For him to have wrapped his tail around mine is highly disrespectful and its also sending pain throughout my body. I yank at my arms trying to free them from his grasp but to no avail. Instead he tightened his hold digging his fingers in to my skin. 

"Now,now I wouldn't move around so much if I were you. You do not want my scales to rub against yours now do you?"He laughed at me. 

"Well then get your nasty tail off of me and we won't have a problem now,will we? Because I sure as all that is seaweed do not want to be your mate. And I'm guessing you don't want to be mine either. So let's just relinquish that problem,by you unwrapping that tail of yours,what do you say?"

"I say that you better stop moving, and tell me what happened to my sister,witch!"He seemed to be growing more impatient with every passing second. I knew the words that left my mouth weren't the best of things to say at a moment like this but he was seriously ticking me off. 

"How dare you come in to my home and disrespect me in this way. You all call me names like witch and sometimes things worse than that. However it is me that you all come running to when you have problems. It's not my fault that whatever your sister was dealing with made her run away instead of dealing with it. I just gave her what she wanted and I can tell you this you and your family will never see her again because of the foolish wish she had made."By the time I was done with my little speech I could feel Serena's brothers anger hit a new high. It was like the water around us was getting hotter from just the rise in his temperature. 

"YOU WITCH! What had you done to my sister!? When the King hears about this you will regret your own existence. Do you hear me!?"He yells as he began to shake me. Most of the time I try to stay in control of my emotions.If I don't then I will loose control over my siren. However, it is very rare but not unusual for me to give control freely over to my siren.  And that is what I did. 

"You pompous arrogant no good,low down pond scum of a man! You think you have the right to talk to me in such a way. SO easily it is forgotten that it is from my people that you came from? I am the original and rightful king. Not the one you praise so highly. Your kind may have believed they have the right to rule, however,that was only the human arrogance that lives inside you all. Mer's may have taken on a appearance similar to ours but there are things only a true siren is born with. Why do you think I was given the name WITCH." I took the opportunity left open from his stunned reaction to my words to make my attack. I dislodged my arms from his hold catching him by surprise.  Which in turn made his tail loosen its grip on mine.  As soon as I felt it ease up I slipped my tail out and wrapped it around his. When I took hold of his I sank my nails into his arms. 

Most of the time this would only hurt someone,but with me,my nails secrete a poison like toxin when I want them to. And right now I want them to. My tail also releases a poison which was now seeping in to his scales on his tail paralyzing it. I didn't put enough poison in him to kill him. Just enough to let him know I could if I wanted to. Mer's don't have this poison capability nor do most sirens. Th ones that are usually born with it are the male sires and only the ones that were meant to be King. The king was meant to be the strongest of their kind and needed to have an ability that could kill any type of enemy instantly, That is why those meant to be king were born with this ability. 

"How fortuitous it is for you to experience this. I don't show it often to others. This is proof that I am the rightful king. You see the king is usually the most vicious of its kind. Also the one with the most power, how else would I have been able to give you all that you wanted? I have sat back and watched as your kind became arrogant and cocky and full of themselves. But no longer will I sit here if this continues. Your kind may have silenced us long ago but not now, the sirens voices will be heard!"I screeched in to his face giving him a good view of my razor sharp teeth. Which only I possessed. I dislodged my nails from his arms and my tail from his as soon as I let go he fell to the cave floor.

"If your King has a problem with me or what I do, the tell him the next time he should come here to see me himself. And for your information I did nothing to your sister, that she did not want to be done. I even asked if she was sure in her decision before doing it. So do not blame me for her choices. The poison should wear off in a couple of hours so I'll call your guards that I am sure are outside the cave. I took one last look at him before going to get his guards to take him back. It was another twenty minutes before I found myself alone in my cave, The dumb coral brained guards were convinced I was lying that the poison would wear off. They argued with me until I had told them that if they didn't want me to do it to them,that they had better go. That had them swimming out of my cave faster than I could blink.  I sighed as I looked around. I had wasted most of the day,having to deal with those clown fish. There was still a long way to go before everything was ready. I just hope the one chosen is receptive to what is going to happen to them.
