♡ Chapter 8 ♡

1166 Words
{*ALMOST TWO YEARS AGO*} I get out of my 11 am class, with my friend, Berkley. “So, would you like to attend a party tonight with me?” She asks me whilst we both started going to the parking garage. “Um, what time is the party?” I ask her while adjusting my square framed reading glasses that are on my face. “Around 8 pm tonight.” She tells me whilst we are making our way to our cars. “Oh okay, sure.” I tell her. I didn’t go to any parties in my high school career, so I guess I better try this one out. I mean, how bad can it even be? “Okay good, I’ll pick you up at 7:30 tonight.” She explains whilst unlocking her dark red two door Mercedes. “Okay, see you then.” I tell her. And then get inside my own car.               ~♡~♡~ I looked at myself in my wall mirror of my bedroom. “Okay girl, you got this.” I tell myself with confidence. Just then, my cellphone rings on my bed and I walk over to it, only to see that it’s my mom calling me. “Hey sweetie, dad and I won’t be home till tomorrow or the next day, he’s doing okay, thank goodness for modern medicine.” My mom tells me with a chuckle. “Oh, okay mom, tell dad that I wish him luck on his surgery.” I tell her. “Will do honey, bye now.” She tells me then hangs up. My dad, he’s been having bad health problems these few months, and after this surgery, once he recovers, they want him back to do a biopsy because he could have pancreatic cancer. And I am honestly scared, he’s getting his appendix removed today, they found something wrong with it, he’s just not having a good time. I really hope that this party tonight will make me worry-free for a few hours.   ~♡~♡~ I walk inside the fraternity, and to be honest, this party is just like the parties that you would see in movies. There are plastic cups everywhere, a bunch of people making out, and dry humping right there on the spot. Such savages. “You look like you’re afraid.” I hear a masculine voice say from beside me. I turn just my head to the left. I see a guy taller than me, he’s skinny and white, with dark brown curly-looking hair. “I’m not as a matter of fact, I just never been to a party.” I tell him. “Ah, well, my name is Jordan.” He tells me whilst holding out a hand. I then gladly shake it. “My name is Alicia.” I tell him while shaking it. “Well, come on, let’s go somewhere less loud.” He chuckles and then grabs my right hand and leads me away. “Where are we going?” I asked him with a chuckle. “You’ll just have to see Alicia.” He says while looking down at me with a grin. I laughed at his eagerness. “Weren’t you with people?” Jordan asks me. “Um, yeah, but her and her friend went off upstairs with some dudes once we stepped foot on the ground." I explain with a sigh. “Ah, well she went big, because those are the president and vice president of this entire fraternity.” He tells me once we made our way inside the kitchen. I look around the whole place. “Um, where is everyone?” I asked him, confused about the empty kitchen we are currently standing in. “Oh, no one really comes in here during the parties.” He tells me as a matter of fact, while grabbing some can Coca-colas from the fridge. “Is that so?” I ask him in amusement. “Uh yeah, everyone is too drunk already to know where the kitchen is.” He tells me while handing me my drink. “Wow, and you’re not drinking?” I asked while opening my can. “Nah, I’m kind of done with alcohol.” He tells me while opening his can up. This got my attention. What frat guy would turn down alcohol? “Why is that?” I ask with a chuckle and sip of my drink. “Because, during my freshman year here, they put a cone in my mouth while I was sleeping, and then poured tequila in it.” He sighs then took a sip of his drink. “Oh, that sounds terrible.” I say with a frown. “Eh, it’s not that big of a deal.” He chuckles. “Any other questions?” He asks me.    ~♡~♡~ “Wow, I’m so sorry about that.” Jordan tells me. “Eh, all my mom and I can do is pray now.” I sighed. I just spilled out all this stuff about my dad to a guy I just met. What a good impression you’re making here Alicia. “Yeah, that usually helps.” He explains. “Yeah it does, so you’re a man of faith huh?” I asked him. “Believe it or not, but yes, I am.” Jordan explains while walking over to the giant walk-in pantry. “Oh, me too.” I tell him. He walks out of the pantry holding a box of pop-tarts “That’s good I hardly meet any Christian women, and now do you like chocolate fudge pop-tarts? That’s all I can find in there.” He asks/chuckles while putting the box down on the kitchen island. “Yeah, that’s fine with me.” I chuckled. He then hands me one and he grabs one for himself. “You’re a good host so far, plus this being my first party ever.” I tell him while opening up the wrap that the pop-tarts were in. “I forgot about that, because you seem so relaxed.” He chuckles. “Well, believe me, if we were still out there, I would be so quiet.” I explain with a chuckle. “Ah, well I’m glad to help you out.” Jordan tells me with a grin. “Yeah, I am too, so anyways, I have a question for you.” I tell him while putting down my pop-tart. “What’s that?” He asks me with his mouth full. “Can you show me your bedroom?” I asked him. And good gosh, I’ll be looking forward to this.
