May 4, entry 3 The wedding was absolutely beautiful. It was held on the pier overlooking the harbor, right at sunset. The distant clouds were glowing in shades ranging from deep purple to magenta, and there was a light but warm sea breeze blowing in from the water. It couldn't have been a more pristine or idyllic evening. I got to stand up with the grooms, along with Mark's super sexy and (unfortunately for me) gay cousin, August. It saddened me that he was the only member of either of their actual blood-related families who bothered to come down for the wedding. There were only a handful of invited wedding attendees, but by the time the ceremony was in full swing, a large group of well-wishers had gathered. As expected, the ceremony was very non-traditional.
