Guess what came in the mail today?? That's right, my Master Captain license. I keep staring at it because I still can't quite believe that I really did it.
I tried to call Gus as soon as I saw it, but he didn't pick up. It's strange how already things don't quite seem real until I tell him. I left him a voice message that he could now call me Captain Marina before hanging up and dialing Fern. She was thrilled for me and suggested that we all go out to celebrate.
I quickly agreed and we made plans to let the group know to gather at Sundowners tonight. The g**g had already met Gus at the wedding, but this will be the first time we have been out with them as an official couple. I can't deny that I'm a little nervous about it.
