she pushed the door open , and with a loud boom! she was showered with rose petals and glitters. the hall was filled with the happy birthday wishes . a feeling of being valued ran through her. she went and cut the cake and received presents from the staffs . but in all this she could yet feel a void somewhere. she went and stood near a window from where the main entrance was clearly visible, and started to gaze towards it.in her mind she was on her 8th birthday, she had felt the same void even then , and from then on she felt it every year on this day. miss Lora comfortingly place her hand on her shoulders.
