CHAPTER FOUR

“In or Out? What's this about?” I was exceedingly confused, coupled with the fact that my thoughts were still hazy and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't stand properly. “I mean would you join us?” “But I don't even know who you are.” “That's the thing we can't tell you anymore in case you decide not to join us but I assure you we are the good guys.” “Don't everybody think that? Is that blood?” I suddenly screamed out. “Yeah, it's all congealed now and I'm thinking it's yours.” Like a bomb, the memory of the creepy man came gushing through my thoughts and my mind played every scene at once. I staggered as overwhelming fear coursed through me. I instinctively raised my arm to see where he had taken a chunk off me and a gaping hole looked back, I was certain I could see bone. “Yikes, that is going to leave a nasty mark.” I slid back to the ground, falling on the congealed blood that was already lumped on the floor. My articles of clothing had blood stains and I couldn't comprehend how I was just noticing all this amount of blood. What should I do? I couldn't ask questions for they would not answer any of my questions, not until I picked to be for them. The worst part was I couldn't ask about them, their agenda, and whatever. “Dad!” I suddenly yelled, how had I completely forgotten about him? What about mum? If this was some kind of Zombie apocalypse could the same fate had befallen my parents. “Well I don't know but he should be fine. Since you're the only one home, you're most likely the only one that got attacked.” “Are you sure? This could be some kind of Zombie apocalypse, he could be getting attacked wherever he is.” Even with my worry and anxiety, I couldn't help but notice my speech was getting better. He laughed heartily and said, “Nah this is nothing of that sort, the Rabid Zombie managed to escape us but…” A stern look from Jay instantly shut him up. “We don't have time for you to go through some kind of emotional trauma. We have to leave now and it's either we leave with you or your dead body stays! And by dead body, I don't mean your current state.” Jay said as he stood from the couch and walked closer to me. It wasn't his words that scared me, it was the look in his eyes though they appeared very dead I could tell he meant every word he had just said. That was when I noticed their uncanny resemblance, he had the same mop for hair as Ray except they were both styled differently. The only difference was the glasses and that Jay also had a thin line for lips as opposed to Ray's. “Would you take a chill pill, Jay? I know you hate doing the cleanup but sure Mic would very much prefer her alive and killing her would just be another mess for you to clean.” I watched Jay's shoulders relax at the mention of Mic. Who was this person that had so much authority? Unfortunately, I couldn't dare ask. I obviously have no other option, if I wanted answers I had to be in or be dead where I couldn't ask any questions and all these would be really over.
