ADESSA POV..
The sunlight was cruel slipping through the thin gold curtains landing on my face.
My head throbbed instantly, I groaned softly pressing the heel of my palm on my face.
My throat felt dry, the bitter taste of alcohol still lingered on my tongue.
I blinked slowly trying to adjust my eyes.
“s**t” I muttered as I stared at the body laying beside me.
Slowly and painfully I climbed down my legs weak, picking up my clothes. I guess he didn't take pity on me.
Rushing to the restroom I took a look at my appearance. I looked different from before my eyes looked satisfied. It had been a long time since I had s*x.
Hickeys on my neck, boobs were almost hickey through my upper chest area. I needed to leave before he woke up.
Picking up my purse I headed for the door, burying down the memory I never want to remember this again.
****
Drowning isn’t as terrifying as everyone talks it up to be, I’ve
seen countless accounts of people that surrendered to it and peacefully drifted away.
“Not the best but still good” I quoted a line from the series I was watching.
A bl series Duang with you. I really love it. I discovered bl a year after my accident and since then they've been my comfort zone.
A call cuts through making me groan out.
“Hello Matt.” it was Matthew, he was the one who saved me from the fire and created a new person.
“Hi adessa, seems I called at the wrong time”
“Yeah you did, you know I hate being disturbed watching a movie”.
“Alright my bad” He apologized. “ So how is it going over there, have you met him yet?, your parents?”
“No I didn't” I knew I was lying but I couldn't bring myself to tell him I did. I knew he would get in the way of my plan.
“Right so when are you going to the company?”
“They actually have a shareholders meeting on Monday”
I had been buying shares from my parents' company and it was only the first phase of my plan. I was going to take everything they loved away.
“So are you prepared or should someone go instead?”
“No I need to go, even if they don't recognize me I still need to see them. When are you coming? I asked.
"A months time, and I found the men who had set your house and fire".
" You did? who sent him?".
"Ades-" He paused " take a deep breath okay?"
"Okay go on" I exhaled.
"It was your parents"
"My parents" I whispered softly still in disbelief I didn't know they hated me that much so as to kill me.
"Can I talk to you later?"
“ Alright then, be safe Good night”
“Night” I ended the call and it beeped into silence.
Freedom is the oxygen of the soul and right now I guess I really needed oxygen in my soul.
No parents could ever want their child to die but mine wanted no to.
No they planned my death why? How could they?.
Tears streamed down my eyes as I slid down the door, I had hope.
