jungkook and seokjin ended up at the mall. not the mall jin is always used to but still better than nothing and not being with jungkook. there's too many people inside this mall. is this a market? the people are too loud. "what do you want to do?" jungkook asked. he starerd at seokjin, he's flinching everytime there's people passing by near him. he slightly shook his head pulling seokjin closer to him before wrapping his arms around his waist. seokjin stopped at the gesture, he gulps down, he's sure that his cheeks are bright red so he looked down in embarassment. "dont be so tense," jungkook whispered, "this is a mall too. not the luxurious one but still." he said, shrugging his shoulders. the older wants seokjin to see everything behind his luxurious life, how are they happy even with a little money that they have. seokjin seems to value material things so much and jungkook doesnt want to change that as that seems to be his thing. though, jungkook wants him to know that there is so much more than having a new limited edition louis vuitton bag. "we should eat first." seokjin said. jungkook slowly nods his head, the both of them roam around to see where they can eat. they entered a coffee shop type of restaurant, it is filled with pastel-colored things and it is very much pleasing to the eyes. the both of them ordered carbonara and an extra garlic bread. also, mango smoothie. "where's your parents?" seokjin asked. jungkook clears his throat, their eyes met and he just let out a faint smile. "they're gone..." seokjin stopped, he's such a fool. biting his lower lips, he put down his fork as he doesnt know what to say after that. "you? where's your parents?" jungkook asked, trying to lift up the mood. "always outside the country," seokjin shrugged his shoulders, "they're the one in charge with the branch overseas." he said. jungkook couldnt help but to stare at seokjin. he's indeed a beauty, one that would make you stop and stare because he's just that beautiful. "where do you live? what university did you go to?" seokjin curiously asked. of course, if jungkook is going to be his boyfriend he needs to know even the little details about him. "i live a few blocks away from the park and from where i am working," jungkook stared right back at the younger's eyes, "it is a small house. too plain, too worn out. and i am a highschool graduate, didnt go to any university because i dont have money. still like me?" jungkook grinned, raising his brows. seokjin stared right back at him. "of course! i still like you..." jungkook rolled his eyes, he let out a small laugh and just focused on his food. "can we have a movie marathon in your house, jungkook?" seokjin asked. jungkook shrugged his shoulders, "it's fine but my house is very small you might feel uncomfortable." he said. "no. no. it's fine, that's totally not a problem with me!" he exclaimed, afraid that jungkook will change his mind. "okay. just text me when do you want to come over." he said. seokjin took a sip of his mango smoothie. biting the insides of his cheeks, he stared at jungkook. he really likes the man, that's not even a joke. people might laugh at him if they found out that he likes him for such a short period of time but he doesnt care. there's this something about jungkook that makes him feel so alive. "do you like me now?" seokjin asked, "are you getting there?" jungkook furrowed his brows, he coughed a little bit, he downed the one glass of water before looking right back at the younger. "do you really like me, jin?" "yes..." the older licked his lower lips. running his fingers through his hair, he let out a deep sigh. "as of now, i still dont like you," jungkook shrugged his shoulders, "what if i wont ever like you?" he asked, his tone laced with curiousity. there's nothing that jungkook could give to the younger, the reason as to why he doesnt want to invest that much to him. he's actually afraid that seokjin will just drop him once he realized that they are completely different with one another. "we're so different, that's why i dont think i'll like you anytime soon." seokjin blinked. once, twice, thrice and then repeat. it's as if someone has blocked him the reason as to why he cant even open his mouth to say something. this is the first time that someone rejected him, is this even rejection? he doesnt know. seokjin feels so little all of a sudden and for a moment, he thinks that jungkook doesnt like him both in romantic and in platonic way. "it's okay if you dont like me now or anytime soon," he let out a tight-lipped smile, "i still like you, that wont change just because you said so." he said, trying to look unbothered. when the both of them were done eating, they went outside of the restaraunt already without knowing what to do next. as they're walking around, jungkook noticed that the younger is not talking much. it seems as if he's spacing out. "do you want to go home?" jungkook asked. seokjin's eyes widened in surprised, the older pulled him closer his hand resting on the younger's back. "you look exhausted. you should go text mr. han." the younger was about to say something but stopped himself as he just let out a deep sigh. he still wants to be with jungkook. but he figured out that this is jungkook's supposed to be restday yet he's here with him instead of his house resting. "sorry, you have to go out instead of just resting." seokjin mumbled. jungkook protruded his lips trying his best to stop his lips from forming a smile, the younger looks cute as he looks very much embarassed all of a sudden. "it's okay," the older shrugged his shoulders, "you're fun to be with." he said.
