it's already six in the evening, the sun is finally hiding and the mood made its presence known already.
there are no people in the park as well as the food stall. aside from some cars passing by, jungkook and seokjin are alone.
they're not even saying anything, jungkook doesnt even know as to why the younger is too quiet but he decided to just respect it and be there for him.
jungkook know seokjin for a short period of time but that doesnt mean that he doesnt know what kind of person he is.
yes, his opinion didnt change, seokjin is seriously a spoiled brat but he is more than that. deep inside, he's very sensitive and soft, he's easily affected despite of him trying to look unbothered most of the time.
just when jungkook was about to speak up to enlighten the younger, the other's phone rang.
seokjin took in a deep breathe before pulling out his phone from his pocket, seeing his mother's name on the screen.
he declined the call only for it to ring once again, he shut his eyes closed, rolling his eyes.
he figured out that his mother probably wouldnt stop calling him until he answered. that's why even with a heavy heart, he pressed the green button.
"mom..."
"where the hell are you, seokjin?"
"it's none of your business."
"i told you, you're going to meet minhyuk!"
seokjin scoffed, he slightly shook his head, she really wants it, huh?
"no, i wont do it. leave me alone." he said through gritted teeth.
he doesnt care anymore so he ended the call putting it on his pocket once again.
"is that your mom?" jungkook asked, carefully.
the younger looked at jungkook, he bit his lower lips slightly shaking his head.
he doesnt want jungkook to think that he's ill-mannered to talk to his mother like that but he just really cant be nice to her. he had enough!
"i.. y.. yes, sorry. im not really in good terms with my mother." he sighed.
jungkook licked his lower lips as he stared at the younger who's fiddling with his fingers, looking down.
honestly, he never thought that seokjin has this side. timid, quiet and gentle.
for jungkook, he always seem proud, unbothered and selfish. that's what he thinks of the younger before by the way he treats other people.
he thought wrong, seokjin has a soft heart and he's trying so hard to not show it by masking his feelings. though, he really is a spoiled brat.
"you're not comfortable with me, seokjin." jungkook said.
seokjin looked up at the older, his eyes widening. he immediately shook his head.
"i.. that's not true! im comfortable." he exclaimed.
the younger is honestly comfortable with jungkook as he's someone who seems like very trustworthy.
though, seokjin likes him a little bit too much that's why the younger couldnt help but to be cautious around him.
"dont hold back, then. be who you are with me," jungkook let out a tight-lipped smile, "i dont want you thinking about what will i like or not, be yourself." he said.
seokjin's mouth went agaped. minutes after, he looked away from jungkook as he can feel his heart thumping so loud against his chest.
how can he not like jungkook when he's being like this?
jungkook shook his head a little when he saw seokjin's face turned red, he looks really adorable.
the both of them looked up when a car stopped and starts to continuously honk at them.
mr. han then opened the door, revealing seokjin's mother who walked towards his son.
seokjin immediately stood up, clenching his fist, he worriedly glanced at jungkook who's already standing next to him.
"im sorry, seokjin. your mother told me you'd be grounded if i didnt-"
"stop apologizing. im the one paying you." sekyung said, rolling her eyes.
sekyung, seokjin's mother, looked at jungkook then back at her youngest before letting out an insulting smirk.
"you're out on a date, seokjn, really?" sekyung crossed her arms, "with this salesman?" she raised her brows.
"mom, dont talk to him like that." seokjin spat out.
jungkook furrowed his brows, staring carefully at seokjin's mother.
"and why not? he's working for me." she said through gritted teeth.
sekyung looked at jungkook, the man didnt even looked away, he bravely met the insulting eyes of the woman infront of him.
"how much do you need from my son?" sekyung raised her brows, "tell me so you can leave him already." she coldly said.
jungkook let out a small laughing shaking his head in disbelief.
is it a thing for rich people to be this full of themselves?
"sorry, ma'am. i dont need anything from your son, thank you." jungkook said in a mocking but respectful tone.
"seokjin, get in the car." sekyung said in a stern voice.
seokjin shut his eyes closed, his hands shaking already, he glanced at jungkook who slowly nods his head at him.
he doesnt want to go but he knows very well that his mother wont stop until she gets what she wants.
now that she knows about jungkook's connection with him, he needs to be extra careful or jungkook will be on the line.
the younger took in a deep breathe before he finally walked towards their car, sitting on the backseat with tears unconsciously streaming down his face.
it is not just about jungkook.
it is about how he's treated like a token of appreciation that would be soon given to someone as an exchange of a huge investment from their company.
seokjin immediately wiped his tears away when his mother is already next to him.
"i told you to use your mind, seokjin." sekyung sighed.
seokjin bit the insides of his cheeks. those are the words that he used to hear even when he was still a little kid.
the words that made him question his capabilities as if what he's doing will never be enough for his mother.
"you're such a dissapointment..."
seokjin gulps down, shutting his eyes closed as another tear fell from his eyes.
