“You can't do anything but understand her, Blakely. Parents aren't perfect. They try to be because they want the best for their children. But sometimes, their way is not in our favor.”
I sighed while sitting in front of Stan. We're eating here in a fancy restaurant that he chose for us and we're currently talking about my situation with mama. He was concerned and I understood him.
“I want to understand, Stan. But sometimes I can't. I just don't get how she thinks. And this is the first time she drove me away from home.”
He held my hand as he looked at me affectionately. “We can't always understand them, love. The best thing to do is to lower down your pride and talk to her first. You're not at fault, but as a daughter, you can't do anything but apologize.”
