SAPPHIRE'S POV:
"This is the very last warning! I swear I'll play a prank on you with Bella and you know that the last time I played a prank on you, you cried for two hours straight!" I threatened as I saw Adam come out of the closet. He took the phone from my hand and held it up to his ears.
Now, he was wearing one of his casual jeans with a formal white shirt with the sleeves folded up to his elbows. I could hear Abel speaking from the other side and didn't make any noise so he thought it was me Abel was talking to. Finally, after listening to Abel's nonsense for two minutes, Adam spoke in a deadly low voice.
"I'll come to meet you before we leave to New York tomorrow, BROTHER..." He said it so seriously that I felt myself gulping. The cold voice that was lest in the silent air made it clear that Abel hung up as soon as he realized he talked to Adam.
I smiled as saw Adam chuckle lightly at Abel's reaction. It feels so content to see the brothers in a close relationship. It amazes me that how people spend their whole life to make a good relationship with anyone and all it takes is a small mistake to creak it. why and how do people live together in one roof if they don't know how to forgive and not forget each other's mistakes?
"Come one dear, let's cut the cake and then you can get ready. i suppose you have to go to the boutique again as I already wore your dress that you wanted to wear for the engagement today." I nodded and chuckled in return as he took his camera out to record video of the celebration.
I looked at him carefully as he sat up the camera on the coffee table of the room. He is such a... Sapphire don't even start! you know you don't stop once you start with all your funny thoughts!!!
I smirked and made a face when Adam told me to pose at the camera as he can take a picture of me and the cake. Adam raised a brow when he saw the shot and let out one of his rare, small, manly and handsome laugh. The laugh that can make any girls knees buckle. He placed the camera at it's original place before running back to me. I heard a short beep sound as soon as Adam sat on the bed.
He stared singing birthday songs for me and as soon as the song started my bedroom door opened again and Abel, Bella and Aunt Amy came into the room joining the celebration.
Adam gave Abel a murderous look before he smiled again and continued with the song.
It all seemed so natural, so right, so beautiful that it I had to describe how happy I was, I would say this is the first time I felt so happy in two years, without dad being a part of it.
After the cake was cut I fed the first bite to Adam and Abel and then to Aunt Amy before Bella. And as expected the rest of the cake eaten by the bed-sheets, face, hair, floor and rug.
well, let't just say Mrs Paul won't be very happy when she'll see the artifact we have made...
