ADAM’S POV:
I looked at mom and Abel nervously and shook my head at Bella. She gave me an evil look, almost threatening me that I can't back up from this now.
She leads Angel to the fireplace and everyone gave me a thumbs up before walking out to the outside, patio. Abel and Bella gave me a light pat on the shoulder before following the others. And from others, I mean all the Staff along with the family. I looked at the Angel who looked so beautiful, sitting on the sofa, hitting her lips in curiosity with a maroon cloth warped over her hair.
I smiled when she tried to peck through the blindfold. I smirked looking at her cautious face.
“Uh, uh, uh, no pecking! Just a minute, Angel.” I quickly took the velvet box out of my pocket. It was given by my mom. I took a deep breath and shook off all the nervousness, well at least as much as I could and sat on my knee in front of her.
“Now, you can remove the cloth,” I whispered and she smiled and did as I said eagerly. Her smile was replaced by a sweet from as she saw me sitting on the typical proposing position.
“You are going to propose me?” Her excited face changed to a serious one as she whispered in a barely audible voice.
“Yes! Of course, I'll propose. Did you think I'll just put the ring on your finger directly on the engagement ceremony?” I saw her nodding in confusion and then shook her head as if she did a crime. I signed in relief, I guess I'm not the only one nervous here.
“You don't have to do that. I mean I do love it but I don't think you were...” I cut her off by placing my hand over her lips. She blinked a few times before nodding her head, telling me that she isn't going to speak anything.
“I did prepare a big speech for the proper proposal but right now all I can remember from that is, Can I be at your side for the rest of our lives?” I saw Sapphire giggle and took the velvet box from my hand and placed it beside her.
She pushed my leg back so that I was sitting nearly like in Indian style and sat down on my lap.
“It is a very strange way to ask for marriage, Mr Black.” I looked at her sweating face. Like I have a habit to scratch my forehead when I'm nervous, Angel tends to sweat like Niagara Falls. I ran my fingers across her forehead wiping the sweat out of her face and nodded my hand, asking her that what is all the nervousness about.
“I also prepared a whole speech for this day but right now, all I could remember is, can I be at your side for the rest of our lives?” I looked at her confused.
“Shouldn’t I be the one asking you for the holy matrimonial?” She shook her head and took out a similar ring box from her dress pocket. I on the other hand kept looking at the beauty in my arms...
