Serenity's p.o.v

"What do you mean by, I'm going after her?!"

"It means, I'm going after her." 

I continue to look through my clothes before coming across my gear which I wore when I was on the battlefield. It was a black jumpsuit with plates made of the strongest substance on earth placed on both the inside and outside of the clothing piece. It was to prevent being killed too quickly, though, if pierced with the same substance the plates were made of, they break and damage the skin causing excruciating pain.

"Yes I know what that means." I start to pull the jumpsuit on, zipping it up and tying my hair up in a high ponytail "What I'm trying to say is why?"

"If I don't this feud wont ever end." I turn away from Alex to hide my tears, "This time, I need to make sure she is killed properly." I look up to the ceiling.

"You said it took you, Violet and me to kill Cassanova in our past, let me go and help you."

"No. If she gets her hands on you, it's an immediate game over for me, she knows that which is why you need to stay back and watch over the pack and Noah." I nod over to the crib where Noah was sleeping soundly.

"I can't, not without you." Alex approaches me and hugs me tightly, "I can't live without you." he murmurs into my ear.

I wrap my arms around his waist and lie my head on his shoulder, "Me neither, but you can't just leave Noah and the pack for me, it's not safe." I said, pulling away from him slightly.

I take his arms from around me and take them off gently, going to my weapons truck and loading a few into the straps into my jumpsuit/armor. I had throwing stars, a stake and a pistol with wooden bullets. I start to look for my daggers but couldn't find them anywhere. 

"Please let me go with you." Alex says, grabbing my wrist,

"Don't you get it?" I turn to him, tears blurring my vision, "I can't, Cassanova plays with weaknesses and fears. You are my weakest link, the easiest person to kill that can defend themselves.  That's why I can't bring you." 

I yank my arm out and pull my gloves on. Violet comes in, her hair swinging, she had the same jumpsuit on. She hands me a pair of daggers, silver and gold, fused with holy water, it would have burned me had I not been wearing gloves.

"They were in my trunk, you ready?" I nod,

"Just give me a minute." I nod to Alex who sat on the bed, his hands running through his hair. Violet nods and motions towards the roof.

"Hey babe." I sit beside him and rub his thigh gently, "I'll be okay, I promise I'll come back safely."

Alex lifts his head and pins me on the bed so suddenly that I didn't have the time to react, "You come back safely or I swear on the moon goddess's name that I will-"

I press my lips on his gently, "I will, trust me will you?" I smile as I pull away and Alex rolls off me.

"I'll be waiting for you." he says as I go to the window and open it. I answer with a smile before I climb up onto the roof.

Violet was waiting, checking her nails before she looks up, "Where to?"

"Cassanova will want to destroy me in the place I destroyed her, we go to the ruins of the Vengeance's castle.

Violet nods and motions for me to go first. I walk over to the end of the roof, run then jump. I land in the forest where Cassanova had given me the message and I started to run, Violet close behind me.

Soon we reached the old ruins of Cassanova's old palace. Cassanova stood there in the middle, her hair braided into two french braids and tied with black ribbons. She had the same armor as us which I found odd then remembered that she probably had a few modern vampires working with her. She turned and I saw her burnt face which stretched into a gruesome smile. 

She lifts a black veil to her face and fastens it on, attacking immediately.

"I see you've brought your sister with you."

"I have." I say through gritted teeth as I grip my silver dagger from the thigh sheath and slice her cheek. 

Cassanova roars with anger and was about to throw a punch at me when Violet rips her off.

Shadow's p.o.v

I peeked through the window of the Alpha's room, my men were behind me, waiting for my orders.

The Alpha and the Beta were both in there, better for me. I turn to the closest person next to me,

"Is the door locked?" I whisper and he nods, 

"I locked it just as the Beta came into the room." 

I nod my head toward the window and I climbed in,

"Please, don't attack. Cassanova doesn't know I'm here, your mates are in danger." I say in a pitiful voice. The two wolves look at me with confusion which slowly turned into worry,

"How do you know?" the Alpha said,

"I saw her fight and drag the two to her master."

"Are you sure?" the other one said suspiciously.

"This isn't working." I mutter.

"Excuse me?"

"What did you say?"

I sigh and mentally facepalm myself. I jab at a pressure point in the Alpha to knock him out and do the same to the Beta.

"Get in here, tie them and gag them, we need to get to the queen, before the two vampires kill her."

Serenity's p.o.v

"You aren't getting away this time." I growl out, my hair had escaped it's ponytail and strands were falling on my face.

I was straddling Cassanova's torso, pinning down her arms as Violet pinned down her legs. I took out my pistol and pointed it to her heart when she started laughing. It was a type of laughter that screamed out,checkmate.

I falter slightly before glancing at Violet who looked just as confused as I was. I look back and press the gun harder into her chest, "Be quiet." 

Just as I was about to pull the trigger, Cassanova spoke, "I wouldn't do that if I were you." she drawled out, "You see, if you pull that trigger, your mate will die to a knife in his throat, both of your mates."

She nods to the direction in the shadows and a group of men step out with a knife to Alex and Brandon's throat. They seemed confused and were held tight so they couldn't move. My hand started to shake and panic started to cloud my thoughts.

"Well? Go ahead Nerezza, shoot my heart so I cannot reign anymore havoc. Come on!" she urges me before smirking, I look into her eyes, "Or you can surrender to me right now, like your sister."

I realized just then that Violet was no longer behind me and had rushed over to Brandon, she was crying and she was grasping at the ropes while the men pulled her back before tying her up.

I shook with fury, making eye contact with Alex before I look away. 

I threw my pistol to the side, making a loud noise as it landed on the hard ruined tile floors. 

"I suggest you throw all your weapons away now." I glare to the man in all black, electric blue eyes and black hair. He presses the knife, which I realized was silver, harder into Alex's throat, making blood trickle down his neck.

I take out my daggers aggressively, throwing them beside my pistol. I take out the stake that I had from the belt around my waist and threw it as well.

"The throwing stars are scattered around the ruins if you want to grab them." I sneer as 3 men come and tie ropes around me.

I look towards Cassanova, "Miss Giovanni, is vengeance all you care about? Is it all that motivates you?" I could see the effect the words had in her eyes.

The surprise and guilt was clear but it disappeared just as I was gagged.

"You are right Nerezza," she regains composure, "vengeance is all I care for. Master Nicholas will be so pleased to see you once again. His lovely betrothed who left him for that werewolf you call a mate."

She comes near me and grips my chin tight, almost crushing my jaw in her steel grip, but I don't cry out. 

"I may not be able to break you just yet, but when I'm finished with you, you'll be begging for my mercy only to find that I'll have none for you."

She lets go, whipping my face harshly to the right as she does so. She smirks as if she had already won the whole thing.

"Gentlemen, let's go, I'm sure Master be pleased to see what we dragged in." she giggles and I could see her eye twitching, turning slightly blue before going back to their original color.
