Meeting The Media

Waking up at morning, Eva finds out that she is late today than her usual days. Last night,she returned late at home. But her father was not impressed with that. Mr Collins wanted Eva to spend whole night with that Copper Stevens. But Eva stopped him by saying already Copper has accepted her as his fiancée.

Eva gets up from bed, otherwise she will be late in Brooklyn university. She is studying on music in university as a major in music. While brushing teeth Eva notices the ring on her finger.

Suddenly last night's event starts to haunt Eva again. Last night she exposed her body to someone whom she doesn't know and that person also blindfolded her. Eva takes off the ring and wears it as locket on her neck chain. She is not comfortable with wearing ring always.

As Eva starts taking preparation to go to university, her younger sister Jennie's voice suddenly makes her startled,

"Are you crazy? Do you have any idea what will happen if you go outside now?"

"Why?" Eva asks in confusion.

"Whole media is flooding with your engagement news, sis. I couldn't understand,how you could sleep peacefully ,when others have almost demonstrated every simple unrelated posts of your social media. You have become a trend now in internet," Jennie says while yawning . She is as usual late in morning,but in excitement of her sister's news she is bit early today.

"What!!!!" Eva almost screams. She almost forgot what Copper said while leaving. She hurriedly checks her phone.

Checking the social medias, Eva almost becomes statue......

Yes,her engagement news is trending in media of UK right now as .....

Eva throws her phone on the bed after shutting down. The comments are becoming so much to intolerable for him with times. Everyone is calling Eva just a money digger prostitute who has become engaged to Copper only to make money. At the same time they have expressed pity on Evq for marrying an worst tempered and ugly person like Copper.

Mr Stevens has already said

Eva to let the media to know her statement on the engagement news. He wants Eva to face the condition when she is not ready to face. That will be more reliable to media, otherwise the more time taken,media will strongly take it as a made up engagement.

Eva takes a deep breath before entering in the reading room of Collins mansion. In presence of few reporters, Eva is going to face the press conference.

The press conference starts with a expected question to Eva,

"Miss Eveline Collins,a news suddenly has brought to light that you are engaged to CFO of Stevens industries and construction corporation, Copper Stevens. What's your statement about this news?"

"Yes,I am engaged," Eva doesn't know whether she will smile or not.

"How long the engagement news kept hidden?" A question comes after few awkward silence. Reporters didn't expect such straight answer from Eva rapidly.

"Me and my fiancee like to keep our mutual matters personal to us and our family only. We didn't keep anything hidden. Even we still don't know the source who has brought out this news to media. But whatever even if the news came to light earlier, our response would be same," Eva tries to hide the sigh while replying. It's really stressful to meet media.

"That means it's not a new issue for you."

Eva just nods at the question.

"You are already on spotlight to media because of your beauty and intelligence. Do you think the engagement news is going to make you more popular?"

The next question seems too much weird for Eva.

"Excuse me ......I never seeked attention from media,still not seeking. I don't care whether it's going to add fuel or water on spotlight or whatever. It's my life, it's my choice. My choice is for my happiness,not for popularity," Eva doesn't know what she is saying. But obviously Mr Stevens will want everything to Copper's favour. Eva is trying to keep everything on Copper's favour.

"After getting engaged suddenly the price of industries under Collins family have suddenly raised. Stevens Aci. Lab has been already combined with Collins' . The engagement has also financial benefits then. Is that so?"

"My father is an established CEO of Collins industries, my fiancee is CFO of Stevens industries and construction corporation,one of the largest industry of UK. His legal guardian is CEO of that company and also an president of CEOs' association of UK. When me and Copper  is already maintaining healthy relationship and have engaged, isn't it normal that our legal guardians will build a mutual relationship both in familial and proffesional life? What if I say, after noticing this raise,our engagement news has brought to light. I think I am right," Eva stops after saying what she prepared mentally, before entering here. She thinks that she is not doing so bad in this press conference.....

"Are you aware of Copper Stevens's past records? What quality of him has made you fall for him?" The last question was bit offensive to Eva.

"I am not engaged to someone after searching for someone's past records,after gossiping with others how he is. I met the most perfect person and after coming on a exact point I got engaged with him to be happy in life............. I think that's enough for today. Otherwise I am going to late for my fiancee's legal guardian's dinner. I don't want to make him wait when he has invited me inspite of his so much busy schedule," Eva stands up from the chair and steps towards door without looking back.

When Eva rides on the car sent by David Stevens,she notices she is panting. Fortunately everything has gone smoothly. She was so much afraid about what she would do. Someone from car's front beside the car driver offers her a water bottle.

"Matt Mcbride , Mr David Stevens's personal secretary ," the person smiles as he can understand Eva's confusion about him.

"Thank you," Eva takes the water bottle.
