His smile dropped immediately when he heard her name and that's how I knew that I did the right thing by deciding to come here today.
He cleared his throat and unbuttoned his jacket, "Ruby Carter? Did you say Ruby Carter?" He asked again.
"Yes. Ruby Carter." I affirmed.
He adjusted his glasses on his face and took a good look at me, maybe assessing if I went to Treasure High or not, "May I ask what your relationship is with her?"
"Oh, my apologies. I forgot to properly introduce myself. She's engaged to me and we are about to be wed. She's my fiancée. So she's technically my wife." I smiled.
