"Uh…Sorry, dad. We can't." I politely declined his offer, "Aria and I have a lot to discuss and settle tonight regarding the merger between the two companies. Isn't that right, dear?" I asked her.
"Yes. That's correct." She affirmed.
"Merger?" Dad repeated.
"Yes. I'll be merging with her company, Carter's, to help out my fiancée for now until her father is out of coma and stable enough to return to office." I informed.
"That's very nice of you, son." He patted my shoulder, "If you need any further assistance, Ruby, the doors to my home, office and company are open to you." Dad told Ruby.
"Thank you so much for your kindness." She beamed.
"You're welcome. Don't forget, never hesitate." He said again before we left.
"Finally!" Ruby breathed out as she slumped
