Stefan's POV

I hate mondays but I had to work very hard or else my competitors would take advantage of that.

Carlos came home late so I went to check on him in his room. It was 7am and he still looked like he had been ran over by a truck.I covered him up and went to the kitchen where i found Nina roosleeping on the counter She too looked like she had been ran over by a truck. Where we these two yesterday? I hope Carlos wasn't falling for this crazy mud girl.I always loved to prepare my breakfast.I had the mentality that no one would understand my stommach more than me.I tried making noise with the cooking pans while I was cooking but she didn't wake up!even placed a piece of bacon on her lips but she just bit it and continued sleeping.Damn!She was indeed a heavy sleeper. I didn't want to ruin her beauty sleep but I ated people who were unprofessional.

"Wake up!" I screamed in her ears and she woke up screaming that she fell off the stool.

"Why are you sleeping in the kitchen?Don't you have a bed back home?"

"Did you have to scream in my ears..! would have woken up you know.." She struggled standing up

"Yeah, you should not be sleeping in my

kitchen."

"Okay Mr Perfect..." She staggered away.The fact that she didn't argue or insult me was a guarantee that she was having a rough morning and I had made it worse.I felt a little guilty but she deserved it for locking me up in the bathroom. I quickly ate my breakfast and got ready for work.When I walked inside the company everyone went silent and got back to work .Yes sometimes I telt awkward whenI saw the fear on people's faces when they saw me but that fear has made me the most respected CEO in the country country just the crowned prince.

I wasn't ready to lose my father's legacy...He had high hopes of me and it was my duty to always keep the Royalty's real estate developers company blazing.

"Your highness, we need to go through the proposal that will represent before the board.." My project manager ran after me the moment I got out of the elevator.

"Okay but first i need to see the financial manager then I will call you"I had alot of work to do from thursday since I was busy doing things that didn't make sense.

Like planning to crazy mud gir's life a living hell.After I had the meeting with the financial manager, I approved the budget which was to be used in the construction of the country assistance offices at the capital.Then called in for the project manager to.Oversee the workflow of the ongoing project to ensure we were still running on the budget and on time.

"Good,I love the work you are doing there.

About the proposal, I believe it's okay...Just leave a copy here and I will go through it before the 4p.m meeting."

"Yes Your highness"

When the project manager was walking out my office, my new personal assistant Came in.

"Excise me your highness, the minister wants to see you in one hour's time. He has something crucial to discuss With you"

"Okay cancel all my appointments until 1pm."

"Yes Sir"

Due to the misusing of funds, the ministry of lands and physical planning decided to give the contract in which we are to build affordable houses for the commoers around the slums.That was a very big milestone for Our company and I wouldn't want anything to ruin it.It was gonna open many doors of Opportunities.

I was busy going through the proposals before submitting them to the prime ministry's lands when my sister called me.

"Yes, what do you want?I am a man..."

"Nina is coming to your office to take measurements of your new suit..."

"But I have many suits?"

"I am throwing a welcome back party for myself and I need my brothers to look fantastic"

"But.."

"No buts."And she hanged up. Being the only girl in our family, the twins and I always agreed to what she wanted and she took advantage of that. But truth be told, she had won the most influential person award due to the classy parties she hosted.

"Your higjness, the prime minister is here.I stood up, adjusted my tie and was ready to speak to the minister.

"Good morning Minister, welcome to my officeDo you care for anything?"

"No,I am afraid this is a business visit..."

"What happened?" I could feel a drop of Sweat roll down my back.The board of directors wants to take the Contract back. We have done our investigation and confirmed that the young bachelors we have worked with have a thirst of power and so they don't do their work well.We are done working with young bachelors."

"But Minister, I am known for my diligence and professionalism. I wouldn't misuse the government funds."

"I know Prince Stefan but this is a housing project and we need someone who has family and understands the concept of being a family man."

"But I have little siblings and run our company well since my father became too sick. I even do I can do a better job than him."I could feel my blood boiling at 450 degrees.I wanted to hold him by the collar and remind of everything I have done for this project but chose to remain calm.This was an injustice of the highest criteria.

"You Can't get in. The boss is in a meeting."Could hear commotions outside the office.

I didn't care till Nina slammed the door open into my office.

"Prince Stefan I need your measurements..." She Said ignoring the fact I was busy.

"I am busy nina..."

"I will sit and wait..."She got in, greeted the prime minister and sat at the sofa by the window. I was Sure I would have convinced the minister but after Nina's rude behaviour I wasn't sure he would even listen to me.

"This must be your girlfriend." The prime minister cmmented and we both asked in unison,

"What?"

"What we mean is why do you say so?"clarified myself.

"Like nobody would have the guts to enter Stefan's office like that if it weren't someone close to you"

I faked a laugh,"Yeah, she is my girlfriend.Actualluy we are getting married in a month'stime..."

"What?" Ninaa asked and my throat Constricted with nervousnes...

"Love,"I walked to where she was, "Sorry I had to propose to you like this but the cir cirmstances I am in forced me." I placed my hand around her shoulder.

"I am sorry to have caught you by Surprise but I needed the minister to know...And about the measurements my love, I am sorry I kept you waiting..." I kissed her arnd walked back to my seat.

All that while,Ninaa was in shock. She neither moved nor talked.She just stared at me, her eyebrows raised questionably.

"This is good news if you getting married in one month's time there is no need for us to take the contract from you. That's aguaranteed

It seems the crazy mud girl was my lucky charm after all but the question is how was I to implement the lie?

"That's good news. Kindly Mr Prime Minister let be between us since my girlfriend doesn't like the media attention and paparazzis."

"That's okay..."

Nina stood up from the sofa and walked to my seat.

"Baby,I will come back later." She kissed my

cheek and walked out getting me by surprise of how good she played along.

"She is a very beautiful woman, who would have thought Prince Stefan would settle down?"

"Minister, I wanna be a family man..That's why you gave me the contract in the first place because you saw the potential."

"Very smart man..Let me get going and kindly remember the ministry doesn't love to be kept waiting..."

"I will keep that in mind Sir" I walked him out and when I got back in the office my mind was still processing what had happened earlier.I was selfish and without thirnking I drag Nina a into my mess.She probably hates me .
