Maya

It's been a couple of days since Taylor and Kaine left the territory. What could have happened? I scramble to pick up all the equipment off the ground as the warriors finish their training. "Dad," Eve walks over to Derek. I push my way through the warriors getting closer to them. I stood a few feet away picking up the discarded weapons. " Have you heard anything from the Luna or alpha?"" Not yet, but it must be something bad must have happened at the royal kingdom if they haven't returned yet." " Yeah, let's hope Taylor can resolve this without a war starting." They walk past me," night Maya.'' `` Night," I look up watching them walking down the hill.

I run around the training ground cleaning up. I need to talk to Kyle. He needs to know this.

After twenty minutes,I walk down the hill going to my house. As the days move on I stop being the main topic of discussion. The pack is more worried about the return of Taylor and Kaine along with when they will have pups or baby immortals. I shake the thought out of my head since that will never happen. I pull my keys out of my pants pocket," Maya." I turn around to mom holding a box," can you get the other boxes out the trunk." I grit my teeth," sure," I shove the keys back into my pocket. I grab the two boxes out of her trunk and bring them into the house." Where do you want me to put these," I stand in the hallway. " Place them on the dining room table for now."

I walk down the hall then turn left into the dinning room placing them on the edge of the table. I move the place settings over then push the boxes fully on the table. I walk back down the hallway going to the living room. " Do you need anything else," I lean against the wall. " Have a seat. Let's talk for a few minutes," I sit on the couch across from her. " What do you want to talk about?" " I'm just happy that you have been doing well with the assignment that the alpha gave you." I roll my eyes," I'm trying to keep on everyone's good side" I stand up. " That's good to hear Maya. Just stay away from Kaine," I ball my hands into fist. " I'll try," I walk out the house getting into my car driving ninety off of pack territory.I pull into the parking lot of the bar. I step through the door looking for Kyle's blonde hair. Where is he, I move from the front of the bar to the back.

I stop at the last booth seeing him with a hoodie over his head as he types away on his phone." There you go," I slide into the seat. He looks up at me," Maya. What are you doing here?" " To tell you that Kaine and Taylor haven't returned yet." He nods his head looking back at his phone. The table goes quiet for a few minutes," what's going on. You usually eat up s**t like this." " I have had my weekly contact with my partner in the fairy realm." " I'm sure they're fine but what you need to do is go to the immortal kingdom and see why they haven't returned." Kyle leans back thinking for a minute," we both can." " I can't be seen with you since I'm under orders from the alpha." " Well you need to come up with an excuse of why you're leaving pack land for a couple of days. We leave on Friday." He gets up and leave the table, f**k.

Taylor

I stand in the middle of the room thinking about the Vampire king wanting to meeting with us. If the girls don't bow to his wishes then there will be a war. This is only for him to get on this land with very little trouble. I need to figure out a way to stop the Vampire king. " Baby," I turn to face Kaine standing with a towel on his hips. " Yes," I eye him up and down. " You're going to get an old lady's face if you keep stressing like this." " I'm already there," I laugh. He walks over to me pulling my to his chest," I know that your over a thousand years old but you still hot. Looking better than most girls in their twenties." I smile," you know how to compliment a girl."

" Always," he leans down kissing my lips. A knock at the door breaks our moment. I walk over to the door opening it," Grace." I step out closing the door behind," sorry to bother you this early." " It's okay. Is there something that you want to talk about?" Guards walks past us staring at Grace. She waits until he's out of sight," let's talk in the garden." " Okay," we walk down the stairs and out the front door. We continue walking past the guards and landscapers," what's going on?" " Last night, I wanted to talk to the council, but they were talking. I overheard them saying the immortal that's in the fairy realm is working with the Vampire king.

For anyone to travel between realms they would need royal blood or have a portal. So there's a royal or a powerful fairy that's working with the Vampire king and Nayyirah is in trouble." Grace looks around frantically," they wanted to separate the girls. Knowing that they are powerful together. We need to hurry up and bring her back before the Vampire king comes. Grace nods her head," I need you to tell Devin that we will have a war on our hands and I need him with the other assassin here to fight." Grace nods then quickly walks back to the castle. f**k this is getting more complicated by the minute. I need to talk to Kaine then go visit Brandon. I walk back to the castle when I bump into the council.

" Taylor, we need to talk to you." I smile," sure." I follow them to the council room. The door closes and we all stand in the middle of the room," Taylor, we know that you have had dealings with Charles. What is he like?" " That man is a tyrant. He wants it and he'll take whatever way he wants. You need to prepare yourselves for a war." I walk out the room going up stairs to my bedroom " mom, we'll be home soon. We just need to take care of this first." He looks up at me," I'll talk to you later," he hangs up. I walk over to him wrapping my arms around his waist. We stay like that for a few minutes until I move back. " Baby,I need you to head back to the pack and see what men your father can send over to fight the Vampire king." He looks at me," I hope it wasn't going to come to this," we stare at each other.
