For Kino being mentioned in this fanfic, the answer is no, since I don't know anything about him beside him being an "illegal son", and I didn't like that at all. I'm thinking about making the Tsukinami appear later on but I'm not sure yet. Sorry for cutting out those characters but I couldn't get my hands on the new game sequels so I really don't know much about them. And no she didn't know about the mothers. She's like Yui so she'll be sure after knowing a little bit more about them.
Thanks a bunch for the new reviews! And sorry for being late again ;-_- Exams are killing me and I stayed up till 1 p.m to finish this chapter.
I own nothing in this fanfic beside the twist in the plot as the main character Nami, belongs to Shiranai Atsune.
Thinking about all the memories that I saw before and processing them in my mind made me realize that all of them had one thing in common: they were all bad memories. I also connected that to what Yui said: they have a reason for being like this. It made sense somehow but from my point of view, that wasn't enough to change a person from normal to that. It only meant that I didn't see anything of what really happened. And that's why I was scared of what I may see next.
The ones who I didn't get to see their memories were Laito, Kanato and Shuu. From what Yui told me I needed try seeing their memories for myself and then understand them better to help them. That I got and was already planning it out. The only mysterious thing was: why could I see those memories in the first place. As far as I knew, I was an only child with no close relatives. My mom also died when I was young so I didn't know much about her. All what I knew was how we both were similar. People always said that a was a copy of my mother. But I remember her as a normal person so nothing was solved.
My father on the other hand, was more of a workaholic and he was always out of the house. When he returns, he usually brings me things with him like books and clothes. I tired to convince him to stay around me more but he always ignored me and went to work. I stopped after a while and decided to stay by myself at home spending time by reading different books. I always feared that he hated me and after he abandoned me, that theory got closer to reality.
(Maybe he knew that I had those powers and that's why he gave me up...?) I thought as I placed the fork in my mouth. It was dinner time after we came back from the night school. The school was normal expect for me avoiding Kou since I didn't know what to say to him after I knew who he really was. I had a feeling that he noticed but he gave me no signs to prove that so I was a little relieved.
The dinner was as quite as always with nobody making a single sound. The only sound that was heard was the sound of the forks and knives hitting plates. I was sitting next to Subaru at the corner of the table. Reiji sat next to Subaru and I was faced by Ayato, who kept glaring at me the whole time. He was still angry about what I did. I tried to avoid eye contact with him but I failed miserably as his emerald eyes kept me staring at me. That's why I prepared myself in advance in case he wanted to do something after dinner.
When I finished my plate, I slowly got up trying not to catch the attention of anyone. That's when I felt hands wrapping around my waist. "b***h-chan~ I want to talk to you." Laito said grinning widely. I secretly hoped that he only wanted to 'talk' and won't do anything else.
"Um... how can I help you, Laito?" I said smiling nervously.
He pouted. "Why so formal, b***h-chan? You know you can be open with me." He finished and smiled again. "That's why you'll tell me what happened with Ayato in detail." He smiled turned into a smirk as he looked at his brother.
Ayato was annoyed. "Why are you bringing that up now?" He said.
"No reason actually. I was just curious." Laito said shrugging. "Now b***h-chan, tell me what happened..." he looked at me again.
"Don't you dare tell him anything." Ayato said glaring daggers at me.
"Nfu~ now aren't we embarrassed, Ayato-kun?" Laito said mocking his brother.
Ayato blushed a bit. "Now who's embarrassed you little..." he said grabbing Laito's collar.
They were about to fight so I decided to go between then. "I already told Reiji but I'll say it again: it was an accident. I really didn't mean it. And to make you believe me, I'll apologize again..." I turned to Ayato. "Ayato, I'm sorry for hitting you with a dart in..." I stopped myself from completing my sentence. "Please forgive me for what I did." I said bowing since I needn't anymore problems.
Ayato let go of Laito. "You think a small apology would do? Who do you think I am?" He said raising his chin. "I will think about forgiving you ONLY if you make me takoyakis for a week..."
"Deal." I said without hesitation. He looked surprised. "Do I need to do anything else?" I asked praying that it won't be something awful.
"I'll think about it..." he said looking like he wasn't prepared for this talk. Maybe he was too angry from me that he forgot what he wanted in the first place?
The conversation ended with Ayato's sentence. I was about to leave when I heard Laito laugh out loud. All of the brothers and me looked at him surprised. "You know what I like about you best, b***h-chan?" He said. I shook my head. "It's that you seem to do a lot stupid stuff but you always get away from it." He said chuckling again.
"I don't understand..." I said that and it was the truth. What stupid stuff that he was talking about?
"Don't play innocent. You know how much times you messed with us from the day you got here? Firstly you push Ayato, then you pull my hat and push me on him. After that you hit me with a mirror and blow makeup in my eye..." I gulped seeing that he had a point there. "You also slapped Subaru with a book and saw him changing." Both Subaru and me went red when we heard that.
"How the f**k do you kno-" Subaru said standing up.
"Let me finish, Subaru-kun." Laito said interrupting him. "Not to mention breaking a water jar on both of my head and Kanato's after you kicked me in my stomach. And recently, you drugged Reiji with his own drug that he placed in your tea." Reiji literally choked his tea when he heard that. Everyone else looked at him as it looked like that was news for them. "And we must never forget, that you threw a dart in Ayato's butt..."
(He certainly did it on purpose... saying that at the end...) I thought as I felt Laito becoming more and more dangerous. (How did he know all that?!) I screamed mentally.
"You sure did a lot." Ayato said as he saw that he wasn't the only one to be 'humiliated' by a human.
"I didn't know you did all that stuff..." Kanato said tilting his head.
I felt threatened. "You talk like you didn't do anything at all! That was only self defense you know!" I said protesting.
He chuckled again. "You see, that's what I'm talking about. You really know how to get yourself out of trouble..." he went closer to me. "It makes me want to make bigger troubles for you that you won't be able to escape from..." he whispered in my ear. I got shivers and I saw Subaru coming closer.
I pushed Laito away slightly to prevent another fight. "I won't do anything if you leave me alone. Especially you Laito, you always like to tease me like this..." I said pretending like I didn't hear a word.
"Nfu~ is that so?" He grinned. "Now that I think about it, I find that the only one who wasn't attacked from you b***h-chan is no one but Shuu. Why's that?" That question got the attention from the rest.
"Maybe because he is the only one that hasn't attacked me...?" I said thinking that it was obvious.
Laito grinned more. "I see." He looked at Shuu, who was lying on the couch as always. "Tell me Shuu, aren't you planning to do a move soon?"
"..." Shuu gave no response and continued to sleep peacefully on the couch.
Laito narrowed his eyes. He clearly didn't like being ignored. "If you won't attack her..." he said and got behind me. "Then I'll make her attack you!" He said and pushed me forward.
"Whoa!" I stumbled and fell on my face on something. I raised my head quickly to see that I landed on Shuu's stomach. It took me a while fully understand what was going on.
Shuu opened an eye after he felt the impact. "I just ate." He closed his eye again as he finished his sentence.
I felt heat rising up to my face as I tried to get up. While I did that, one of my hands got tangled by Shuu's earphones wires and I didn't notice it until I got up and pulled Shuu with me. I gulped when I saw the irritation in his eyes as I struggled to free my hand. When I was done, he checked under his chocker and I saw that he had red marks because of the pulling. I turned and looked at Laito angrily to show him that I was upset.
"There you go. Now we're all equal." He said grinning widely.
I felt really angry and ashamed so I went upstairs after deciding to apologize for Shuu later. I could hear them still talking as I hid somewhere near so I waited for the room to get quieter to look for Shuu. When I heard nothing I came out of my hiding place and began searching for Shuu. After a while I found him in the music room sleeping again. (Does he never get tired from sleeping..?) I thought.
"..." I really didn't know how to start. It was an awkward position that I got in after all.
"Are you going to stand there forever?" He said changing his position of sleep.
"You knew I was here...? How?"
"Your smell..." he said briefly.
I went silent again. "...Well I just came here to apologize for what happened earlier... that's all..." that was the truth, partly. He didn't say anything so he wasn't helping me at all. "Maybe I'll come back later... excuse me..." I said turning to leave. I stopped when I suddenly found him in front of me.
"Who told you to leave?" I gulped as he stopped me with pinning his hand to the wall next to me. Soon I found his fangs in my neck as he sucked blood out of it. Despite the pain that I was feeling, I decide to use that opportunity to see a little of Shuu's past as well.
I looked into his deep-blue eyes asking myself why he liked sleep that much. As the times before, I found myself in a black background and things slowly began to take shape. This time too, I found myself in the garden looking at the same blond woman and boy. The woman was sitting with the boy in front of her. He seemed like he was doing work, a lot of it actually. He had a huge pile of thick books in front of him and I wondered if it was okay to make a little kid read all that. The boy then talked to his mother but I couldn't hear what did they say. The mother kept on her cold face and replied something to him that brought a sad look to his face.
The next second I was looking at the older Shuu again. Surprisingly, he was staring at me too. "So it's true... that you space out this much..." he said and I was impressed that they noticed that already. "Or maybe it's because this is pleasing to you after all?" He said smirking.
I frowned. He had a perverted side just like the rest of them after all.
So...
Nami just saw a small sence of Shuu being forced to study tons of books. And you all know that it's because of him being the next head of the family and the next vampire king. I did that as I preferred to let her know about Shuu being terrified of Fire later after getting closer to him. And for Laito knowing it all... Well, it may be just my opinon but he reminds me of Cheshire cat so I made him the one who knows every single thing going on in the manor.
Tell me if you liked what I did this time by leaving a review after you read this. Don't forget to follow and fav! See you next week!
