Her First and Last

You are Beautiful

It was a bright day with birds chirping all over and the voices of students coming from different directions of the school environment, that made it seem like noise. The atmosphere was filled with excitement of the freshers as they resume school. Actually, there were mixed feelings among the students, happiness that they have finally left home and now have some freedom and less monitoring, while the other is sadness that they won't see their families for sometime. Whereas, the seniors, per say, older level were just watching in admiration at how the freshers were acting like they did when they were in that level. They were able to relate with the mixed feelings of the fresh men and some just chuckled and moved on.

Amidst the noise and everything, there seemed to be something meaningful, it was traced to be a conversation between two students, Sarah and a random guy.

"Ouch!, why did you do that? ".... said Sarah followed by a masculine voice, " Oh, i'm sincerely sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, in fact, it wasn't intentional at all. ". " It's okay" said Sarah and he replied, "thank you very much, Well, I'm Eric Peters, in Medicine and Surgery, a fresher and it's nice meeting you"... " yeah, I'm Sarah Evans, in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a fresher too and it is really my pleasure to meet you, so it is very obvious that we aren't heading towards the same direction, and it's just 10 minutes before my class starts, it therefore means that i have to get going, so see you later Eric, Bye.... " replied Sarah and she zoomed off before Eric could finish his statement and he just ended up saying "Waaaaaiiiiiiii......... tttttttt" but she had already started speaking to a shuttle driver and was in a hurry so she didn't pay much attention to what he was saying. In no time, she was headed to her destination.

Eric boarded a bus too and was deep in thoughts as he perused within himself, "oh my gosh, she's so pretty, with a cute smile and lovely eyes, and sexy lips, looking very succulent. But why wasn't i able to tell her? i'm i really crushing on someone i just met?, oh c'mon Eric, forget about her and think about something else. Yeah, that's true, how on earth would i have been able to explain to my parents that on my first day of resumption i injured someone's daughter i barely knew. Well, thank God it didn't happen."

Sarah was in class now when the lecturer walked in and quickly she sat up and prepared her mind and brain to learn something new to see how she could apply it.

It was an introductory class, so there was really nothing that was taught during that period, it was mostly scheme of work for the different courses for that semester that were given.

The class was really fun and enlightening, it was quite an interactive session, question were thrown at and by the students and of course our dear Sarah wasn't left out, she answered and asked to the best of her abilities then.

She just couldn't let go of the excitement in her easily, she kept wondering and wondering and was just trying to foresee her future, how she will one day be addressed to as an Engineer.

She thought to herself "the world of engineering is really an interesting one, so we actually ensure that we bring solution to any problem that's brought to us, we are indeed world changers, it's a very noble profession and also very soon i'll be addressed as Egnr. Sarah, Mum and Dad would be very proud of me because that has always been my dream and they ensured that at every point in the way, they supported me the way they could. Oh! Heavenly Father, thank You for everytime you helped me just to get to where i am today, thank You for my parents too, please continue to bless them and also please bless Mr. Felix, may his pocket never run dry, Amen."

Sarah was so much engrossed in her thoughts that she eventually closed her eyes and what made her open her eyes was a loud sound like someone had fallen and she felt pains on her butt and now her hands were on the floor, she wondered what had happened, she checked if there was a stone nearby she had hit but there was none, mind you, all these happened in microseconds. Sarah raised her head in bewilderment and just at that moment, she heard a masculine voice apologizing that the hit wasn't intentional and that he's sorry. He offered her his hand to lift her up, so she placed her hand gently on his and stood up.

Meanwhile, she kept her face like she was irritated by something and he noticed it but just ignored and kept a smiling face, making the former more confused, so she asked feeling infuriated already, "What's funny please, anyways there's no need for all these, you had better be careful next time" and turned to leave but was held by the wrist and when she looked up to the face behind the voice and really this was the first time she took her time to look at him from head to toe and sincerely speaking he was handsome, tall and muscular with a light skinned complexion and a set of pink lips, he was super cute, she thought but when she regained her senses she just shrugged it off and pulled her hands giving him a fierce stare and him being scared a little stopped smiling and said, "I'm really sorry but i don't think we left on a good note so i had to call you back. Well, I'm Mike Oscar, Medicine and Surgery, three hundred level, you? ."

What on earth is wrong with this guy i was just having a good time with myself and he spoilt just spoilt it. This is just the first day and i've already hit two guys and both are trying to get my number, is that how things are here?, she thought to herself... she was brought aback when she heard, "excuse me Miss, please what's your name? ".

Sarah didn't intend answering rather she asked why did you hit me in the first place, was it really unintentional or it was for you to get to know me, well, if it's the latter then I'm sorry to disappoint you" and turned to leave but was blocked by this handsome but annoying dude that replied, "please Miss it wasn't an intentional act, besides i had already introduced myself and just wanted you to do same and forgive me too i was just so excited after seeing my result and accidentally i bumped into you"... then Sarah replied, " that's better, but you had better be careful next time. I'm Sarah Evans, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, hundred level, anything else Mike, if i actually heard your name correctly? ". Then he replied, " you have a nice name and i must confess you are beautiful, time won't permit me to know more about you, your reasons for studying an engineering course, well, you look and sound smart and also possess an interesting personality, the rate at which you're able to switch moods is amazing, i really want to get to know you more, so please with all due respect beautiful Sarah, can i have your phone number?. Sarah replied, "oh, my number?, sounds interesting, wait! , i thought you said you were in Medicine and Surgery, what's up with the interrogation, are you a law student or a detective?, well, i don't really care to know, i don't know what your mission is but i'm not giving you my phone number, have a nice day Mike", then she left.....
