Anna flicked him off.
“What, that’s…” the officer recognized her and walked back to his patrol car. Before he sat in the driver seat, he said, “Just make sure you keep that in control, Agent Reed.”
As the officer left, Johnny sighed in relief and got back in the car. He looked at Anna and said, “You couldn’t resist doing that, could ya?”
Anna stretched and raised her seatback. Smiling, she replied, “Nope, and lookie here, Mister Agent Reed with all the pull.”
“Well, since I was assigned this job by the Ambassador himself, I was hoping that the mention of his name would scare them,” said Johnny.
