Chapter 3: A cold chipAs the night passed over into the morning, Anna sat, and not so patiently waited, in a holding cell at the Earth Security office on the eastside of New Dicon City. The room was made to hold one prisoner at a time. However, even though Anna had her privacy, she could not go to sleep. Every time she closed her eyes, Anna kept having the same weirdly intense dream of being in an old abandoned laboratory.
What was intense about the dream was something chasing her and finding a woman just like her. She had been having this dream off and on for ten years. Just recently, this dream had become more powerful, especially last night when she tried to sleep. Unlike before, Anna could only remember very little about it or the woman. This time, she felt more.
