The car ride was exhausting and boring.
They took one car since they were only five- three vampires, two humans- but some of them had to hold a few bags in their laps since they didn't fit the trunk. Jade had been staring at the vampires in the vehicle for hours, never trusting them but no one blamed her since she had bitten and almost sucked dry by one of them.
She was thankful they saved her, she really was, but she was still afraid. Who said they wouldn't kill her just for fun. If they really needed to feed on blood to survive, then what if they got really hungry and Ana and she were the only humans around. She also felt unsafe having to sit next to a vampire in the backseats.
