Anastasia could hear all of them laughing from her room where she sat with Jade.
They were supposed to be watching a movie but the vampires that were located in the living room were too loud for her to focus on the romantic comedy that played on the screen. Her friend also seemed to be annoyed because she closed the TV and left the room, only to return holding a game of snakes and ladders.
Anastasia gave her a weird look and raised her eyebrows. "Seriously?"
She shrugged, "It was the only board game I could find when the boys took me to my apartment to get some clothes."
"Why not take some cards?"
"I couldn't find them!"
"Okay, okay." The redhead laughed, raising her arms up in surrender. "I'm gonna get some water. Want anything?"
