Cora's POV
I wake up just as Dawn is approaching, it's still quite dark in the forest though, the sun tries to peek through the trees cascading light over the leaves and then shadows on the ground. I move Peri's head more onto my lap and gently sit up, trying not to disturb her sleep, we must've slept for a good six hours, looking over to Neela and seeing that she is looking up at the sky fully awake.
I whisper to her "Why are you awake so early?"
"I couldn't sleep that much. It's hard to when you've been caged up for so long," then she looks away from me.
I try not to dwell on what she said I ask, "When do you think we should head off?"
"Soon we should wake Peri now though," she says standing up and dusting off her legs.
I look down at Peri in my lap unhurriedly strok
