Maya sits in front of Mr Desmond looking nervous she's not sure what to expect, she's not sure about what to say or how to say it, but whether she likes it or not she's done it and she's there so whatever happens happens.

I want to return your files, you are truly talented like my managing director says. Mr Desmond break's the awkward silence. Uhm thank you sir, am happy that my skills are able to impress you sir, Maya replies. So uhm there's actually this work that needs urgent attention and it's also your field of work so of you don't mind, I don't of course not, Maya interrupts bluntly. Mr Desmond smiles at her at Maya could feel a million butterflies twerking in her belly. But there's one problem, and what's that sir, Maya asks curiously, well there's a reason it's been left in attended to, it's a very complicated work and needs serious focus and dedication, others in your field as tried but to no avail, so because of this I hope you wouldn't mind working overtime?, Well why not , since it's for the benefit of the company and that's why am here after all so, of course I don't mind, Maya happily accepts. Then it's settled then you can come to my office after working hours to collect it, Mr Desmond say's with a beautiful smile and his eyes always sparkles whenever he smiled, which made the butterflies in Maya's belly multiply. Maya awkwardly smiles back and excuses herself beg she does something stupid or unreasonable.

Later that day after working hours Maya goes to Mr Desmond office. She knocks but they was no response, after some time she let herself in. As she got in she noticed that he was sleeping soundly at the small corner of his office, She also noticed that his long curly hair was dangling around his eyes, so she moved closer and as she was about to put his hair back in place, his eyes slowly opens and ohh God he looked so damn fine with his drowsy eyes. As he finally fully opened his eyes he noticed Maya closer to him than usual and asked, What are you trying to do?, I..... I......I came to your office to collect the work file, you asked me to come during closing hours, I knocked multiple times but there was no response and I noticed the door was opened so I kinda let myself in and then I noticed you were asleep so I wanted to wake you and then you woke up yourself, Maya surprisingly managed to answer. Oh I see.. The file gimme a second, as he stands up and adjusts himself Maya just stood there there looking like a Statue. This is it, Mr Desmond say's as he hands Her the work file, please take your time and do the necessary, Mr Desmond say's with one of his charming smiles. I will try my best sir, Maya says smiling form ear to ear. And also you can just call me Desmond when we are alone I don't really like formalities half of the people in this companies know that and now you are one of them. Maya smiles, okay Desmond.

As Desmond was about headings out with Maya following at his back there was a sudden thunder noise alongside a heavy downpour. Damn, not right now , Desmond said looking devasted then he looked at Maya as if expecting her to do something..... Something impossible. Maya looking as dumb founded as ever asked , is there a problem sir.... uhm, sorry I meant Desmond. Well Since it's raining my driver won't be able to make it in time and am guessing it will. e hard for you to also get home in this downpour so my guess right now is that we are stick here together. Maya is shocked at how bluntly he said it, but awkwardly smiles and nods. I guess so to Desmond. Minutes later Maya settles in Desmond's office and gets started on her work she is fully into it and focused on her work. And Desmond can't help but steal a few glances at her. Soon enough Maya finishes the work and hands it back to Desmond he's surprised at how fast she was, he was genuinely thinking she would use up to a week or so but in less than three hours she proved him wrong. so in order to avoid any mistakes he said he would cross check it tomorrow as he is feeling a little sleepy. Maya nods and sits down beside him ( He offered ) Within minutes Maya sleeps off and Desmond notices this and also that she's a little shaken so he lowers the air conditioner and also goes close to her and uses his suit to cover both her and himself. He's truly a gentle man. In the warmth of it they both sleep soundly.

It's three Am, and Desmond's driver knocks on his door profusely, Mr Desmond, Mr Desmond it's me the driver am here to take you home. Desmond hesitantly wakes up and Maya also slowly wakes up. Am coming Desmond shouts, as he is about to leave he turns back and looks at Maya who is getting ready to leave also, Do u mind if I give you a ride to home? Maya is surprised at the premium offer and at first she was stunners and didn't know what to say but she managed to mumble Yes.

Maya gave the driver her home address and was went to sit beside Desmond and for some reason she felt comfortable and safe around him. The drive to Maya's home is along drive home , so on the way Maya couldn't help but take a little nap, all of a sudden the car galloped tilting Maya's head over Desmond's chest , For some reason Desmond didn't push her away surprisingly to him he even moved her closer to become more comfortable.

The next day was an holiday and Maya couldn't help but think about the night with Desmond, and inside the Williams mansion a young man named Desmond also couldn't stop thinking about his night with his employee, And deep down they both knew that this was the beginning of something new.
