Chapter 39 I enjoyed LA much more on my second visit there. Being with David again was the best thing. Then there was the wonderful weather and living in far greater luxury than in London. Things like maid service and having a driver were just the norm, at least for people in David’s position. Another thing that I found easier was simply walking around with him. Unlike in London, where he had to more consciously avoid the general public, In Los Angeles he could just put on a pair of sunglasses and go about and not be recognised. Possibly because there are so many people in LA who are actors and models, or who look like them. It makes blending in easier. There were still tourists who had their cameras constantly out in the hope they might end up photographing a celebrity. But generally,
