Chapter 16
In the morning I woke first, wondering where I was for a moment. Then I saw him lying next to me. His eyes were closed but he opened them and gave me a lazy smile. He looked glorious first thing in the morning. Sleepy and incredibly sexy, his hair all tousled.
“How marvellous to wake up and find you here.”
I panicked for a moment that this meant that he expected me to have slipped out during the night. I hoped this wasn’t some s****l etiquette that I’d missed. “Didn’t you think I would be?”
“I would have sent out a search party if you weren’t.”
He pulled me into his arms and on top of him, and I could feel that he was already ready for action. I was however feeling messy and sticky and I’m always paranoid about needing to brush my teeth in the morning.
