The Trials End!/Jinx,Dakota?/Just a Normal Day/The Horn Blew

Madelyn's POV

I woke up to howling. Kelpie awoke really fast "Madelyn the trials have ended and it's time to pare we have to get to the docks. "We tan all the way to the docks. "Your late." My alpha said. "Sorry sir we woke up late." He just nodded and continues "So now that you have spent time with all the trials who do you feel is the best fit."

Kelpie's POV

Madelyn looked a little confused. She looked deep in thought and finally said. "I don't think any of them are truly for me." We all looked at each other and whispered "Trials." The alpha looked shocked and said "Uh well then I will pick who I think best suits you and you will have to go through trials to be in a pack." The alpha came to a conclusion and finally said "Kelpie you and Madelyn are in the trials together. Madelyn looked at all the wolves and said sorry we all forgives her and understood. But we would have to face great dangers now.  

Madelyn's POV

I just couldn't pick.I don't really know I guess I choked.Now because of me choking I've put kelpie and I in danger she has seen what the trials  can do and I've heard about how horrible they are.I can't believe that if we die it would be because of me.Going back to camp I couldn't think straight but Kelpie held her head high and and said "If anyone can make it out of the trials it'll be us." She didn't sound happy she sounded firm.Once we got back to camp I curled up right by Kelpie and she placed her head on me and we went to bed.

Kelpie POV

I just let her curl up with me because we would need to trust each other and to be honest she was a good pillow.But in the middle of the night I decided to get up and go for a run.I just set off and started running.While on the run I came upon a dude named Dakota and his new partner Jinx.This was there last night together before they get to morph.I asked if they wanted to come to our camp to sleep and they accepted.When we got back Madelyn was still asleep so I curled back up with her and drifted off to bed.

Jinx,Dakota?

Madelyn's POV

When I woke up Dakota and his new partner Jinx were sleeping in camp. I went for a walk since no one else was up. I started towards the forest but was surprised when Dakota ran up to me and started walking by my side. "So Dakota what brings you to our camp?" He looked at me as though I was dumb "Well I mean I'm just stalking you." I paused for a couple seconds and looked a little scared. "Kelpie invited me I didn't actually stalk you." I let out a always laugh "I knew that." He laughed. We had a good conversation all the way to the lake in the center of the forest.

Kelpie's POV

I woke up and Madelyn and Dakota were gone I figured they went for a walk. Jinx woke up shortly after me. We decided to go hunt in the valley. The valley wasn't to far from camp but it wasn't a short walk. Jinx and I hunted really well together. He made this one comment that I didn't know how to feel about though. He said 'if you aren't my mate I don't want one.' I don't really know how to process that emotion I felt bubbly but also like my stomach had a bunch of bubbles. We caught a elk though and took two big hunks back to camp where we found Madelyn and Dakota talking.

Just A Normal Day

Madelyn's POV

Kelpie and Jinx came back with two hunks of elk. While we ate we all just talked and had some good laughs and snickers. After eating, a light brown little wolf came running in. "Dakota it's almost time to complete the bonding ritual with Jinx you better hurry!" He nodded and said goodbye and then Jinx and him started running towards the ritual. I wondered what they looked like and would be like but no one but them and high ranked pack members were allowed.

Kelpie's POV

Jinx and Dakota headed off shortly after finishing eating so I decided to go swimming with Madelyn. We went back to Anari islands water passage to swim. It was pretty fun Madelyn and I just got to talk and learn more about each other. This would be useful for the trials were are relationship would be put to the test. I definitely didn't want Scorpion's fate. My poor brother died due to that human I didn't want that for me. I also didn't want that for Madelyn because she really did seem like a nice human. I just hoped we wouldn't have to go that but that was just a dream. I knew we would have to compete.

The Horn Blew

Madelyn's POV

After swimming and visiting the Anari we decided to go back to our current camp and pack up.We wanted to camp in the meadow for a while.The meadow was so pretty but I hadn't got to see a lot of it but I know for a fact there is a flowering cave in the meadow.Towards the back of the meadow is a cave and once you enter it is so dark that the only light is tiny glowing blue mushrooms.Once you get somewhat far into the cave there is a wolf sized hole at the bottom of the cave wall.You slide in there and then see this beautiful cave covered with grass and flowers.Most wolves and humans believe our Goddess blessed that cave and that's why it blooms so nicely.

Kelpie's POV

We started walking towards the meadow when we heard the giant horn go off.The horn was only supposed to be blown when all packs and rouges were supposed to come together at the center of our huge island.You had to there as soon as possible.The last horn blown was over 7 years ago.So we knew it was urgent.We set up camp for when we would return but after we headed off.Madelyn started making theories as to why we were called.Some of the theories were that we were at war with a neighboring island like the cougars,bears so on.Or that there was a huge festival being held.Or a top wolf had passed.I just hoped it wasn't war.
