Finding Madelyn

Madelyn's POV

"Good morning sleeping beauty." "Kai, why am I on your couch?" "Not an important question sweetheart." "Ok? Well where's Xenon?" "Over here Madelyn." I sat up and looked behind the couch, Xenon was cooking. "Well when are you going to get Kelpie, Lana and Dakota?" "Tomorrow." "Ok because I'm sure they are worried and I didn't mean to worry them." "I know but I promise we'll get them tomorrow." "How do you know they'll be in the same spot?" "We have our ways to get to people." "What is that supposed to mean? Kai?" "Hmm?" "What does Xenon mean?" "Um I don't know." "Sure..." I didn't believe them, what Xenon said puzzled me. What did he mean by 'we have our ways'? And I was still very mad at the fact their pack had killed Everest. But I didn't want to say it as I got a strange feeling from them.

Kelpie's POV

I had to go east. But now thinking of it the Reaper pack is that way. The pack that helped kill most of the Mountain pack. Was Madelyn really there or was she past that pack? Either way I am determined to get Madelyn back. So I started for the Reaper pack. I didn't know if I would find her there but I had to start somewhere. I wouldn't give up on my partner as I know she wouldn't give up on me.

Xenon's POV

I didn't mean anything 'weird' when I said we have our ways I just meant we have....connections? Is that the right term? But I don't think Madelyn believed us when we said it was nothing. It probably made us sound even weirder. But it was to late to fix my wording. "Anyways Madelyn, would you like to do anything anything today?" "Yea find Kelpie, Dakota and Lana." She looked at me with a stern face. "I understand if that's really what you want we'll go and look for them today." just then someone came screaming up to the house "Beta's there's an intruder and Alpha's not back yet!" Kai and I opened the door to see Avarion. "We'll come check it out Avarion lead the way." "What Kai said." Kai went and grabbed and his and we were about to leave when Madelyn stood up "I'm coming too, you can't expect to leave me here." "But Made-" "No Kai shut up I'm going." we shut up after that and ran after Avarion.

Kelpie's POV

I ran to the Reaper Pack and couldn't even make it all the way through before two wolves pounced on me biting and growling and I heard others yelling "Intruder!"

Madelyn's POV

I followed behind them until I heard a familiar voice "I am not an intruder! You let me go!" I ran forward and saw a couple wolves sinking their teeth into Kelpie's skin "Let her go! Get off of her!" I shouted while running towards Kelpie I heard Xenon and Kai behind me "Do as she says and let the wolf go." then they released Kelpie "Kelpie are you okay!" "I'm fine Madelyn I've been so worried for you, are you alright!" "Yes I'm fine Kelpie where is Dakota and Lana!" "I don't know I came looking for you alone!" I buried my head in her fur and hugged her. "Alright its fine this wolf is not an intruder, go back to what you were doing." I looked at Kai after he said that "Why did they detain her like that!" "To make sure she wasn't a threat?" "So you detain things by making them bleed and go through a bunch of pain!" "Its fine." "It is not fine Xenon!" "Well Kelpie is here so at least that saves us some time from going to get her." "That's what your worried about?" "I mean no but its a positive right Kai?" "Right." "Well what about Dakota and Lana?"  "What do you mean? We'll still go get them if that's what you mean to ask." "Well then go get on it Xenon." "Very well we'll leave after we make sure you and your companion make it back to our house safe. Kelpie growled and said "I came to get Madelyn so what makes you think ill leave her here with you or that I'll go back to your house with you." "Well maybe the fact we could have you detained again and forcefully brought back to the house." I looked at Kai "that's not necessary we'll go back." After we got in the house Kelpie looked around and said "Madelyn we need to go back to the mountain, Dakota is worried sick about you and well Lana is still deeply depressed." "I understand Lana's pain and quite frankly I'm still pissed that they killed Everest I'm just afraid of what's to happen if I express it." "I understand that feeling Madelyn they give me a weird feeling." "They give me a weird feeling as well."

Dakota's POV

I was still worried about Madelyn and Kelpie seeing as though Kelpie went off on her own. But I didn't want to leave the mountain as Madelyn may come back and then no one would be here. And worst of all Lana ran off in terrible sadness and I can't help but worry for her sanity and mental wellbeing. Seeing as her partner, someone she had grown close to had met an unfortunate death. Right as I was lost in thought two men showed up. I recognized one as being one of the weird strangers Madelyn hung out with. I think his name was Xenon? "Dakota we have come here to escort you back to Madelyn." "What do you mean?" just then everything went black.

Lana's POV

I had given it enough thought and was finally ready to go meet Everest once again. I took out my arrow and thought for the final time of all my friends and family. I was too sad without Everest so I was going to join him. I took the arrow and plunged it into my stomach. As I was laying on the cold grass I saw Everest walking towards me "It's nice to see you once again Lana."
