Chapter 5

They both got to where his car was parked and he let go of her hands then he opened the door for her, she sat at the passenger's seat Joshua also got into the car started the engine and drove off. The atmosphere of the car was so quiet and no one wanted to speak first. So, Joshua decided to remind her about their date for later just to break the silence between them.“Bella, just a reminder” he said with his gaze fixed on the road “okay” she responded and looked at him “about this evening” he said and looked at her for some minutes before looking straight ahead “I'm coming to pick you up by 4…” Joshua said looking at her and the road then she remembered they were both going out “okay…. Yes I remember “ she said and place her hand on her forehead “let me take a guess” Joshua said gaining a curious look from Bella “you forgot about it already” he said while his attention was on the road “I almost” she said feeling a bit guilty “it's fine” Joshua said and a calm smile was on his face “I really I'm……” Bella was about to apologize when he suddenly cut in “we are here” he pulled over in front of Bella's mansion and she looked out the window and saw that they were at her place “so, you wanted to say something” Joshua said and fix his gaze on her “Me” Bella said turning to meet his gaze “yes, you wanted saying something and what was the word again” he said trying to remember what she wanted to tell me few minutes ago after some minutes he got the word “yes” he turned to her “you said « I really …..» ?“ He said waiting for her to complete continue with her sentence “ohhh ….“ She said also trying to remember what she wanted to say to him but couldn't remember so, she came up with something else. “Oh now I remember, what I wanted to say was «i really appreciate your kindness»” she said with a smile but the look on Joshua's face wasn't really good, he look a bit disappointed. “Oh, is that so” looking downward “okay” he said “I will have to go now “ she took her bag and unbuckle her seat belt “thanks for bringing me home and I'll see you in a few hours” she said with a smile and the last few words got his attention and he looked at her with a smile “okay then, bye” she got out of the car and waved at him then turned towards the gate and her rang the doorbell some minutes later the security guard opened the gate for her and the security guard greeted her and responded while walking into the compound the gate was shut behind her and when Joshua couldn't see her anymore he starts the engine and drove off. Bella was already on the couch relaxing when suddenly her cell phone started vibrating seeing the caller she didn't hestiate. “Hello mom” Bella said “Hello my princess, how are you doing my dear?“ Mrs John spoke from the other end of the phone “Mom, I'm okay just a bit tired “ she said “sorry about that dear…. Have you had lunch yet?“ Mrs John said sounding really concern “Not yet mom, I just got in”. She said “okay, make sure you do okay!… Don't let mom worry too much okay!“ Mrs John said “okay mom, thanks. The house is so lonely without your presence mom” she said “My baby girl, I know, mama has a lot of things to do but don't you worry I will make it up to you okay my princess!“ Mrs John said trying to console her “okay mom” she said “Good, make sure you don't skip your meals “ Mrs John said “okay mom I won't” she said “Good girl” Mrs John said then she remembered she was to tell her something important “My princess” Mrs John said “yes Mom” she said “your dad just told me that he has something urgent to do in Paris and he won't be around for a month or more “ Mrs John said “okay mom, where is Dad now?“ She said “He's at the airport waiting for his flight to take off” Mrs John said “wooo…” Bella said looking really surprised “that's really urgent… I thought he was going to drop by first before leaving… he didn't even give me a hug” she said looking really sad “I'm sorry my baby girl but I promise I and your Dad will make it up to you when we get back okay!“ Mrs John said trying to make her feel better “ okay mom” she said “will you be okay on your own” Mrs John said “yes Mom, I will be fine” she said “okay dear” Mrs John said “ Mom, least I forget, I will be going out later today” Bella said “okay, with who exactly?… Who's taking my little princess out on a date” Mrs John said trying to tease her “Mom, it's Joshua and it's not a date” she said defensively “okay! You don't have to be so defensive okay! Come to think of it….. Are you both a couple now ?“ Mrs John said “Mom!“ Bella said “what?“ Mrs John said acting unaware of what was happening “I was only asking okay! So, tell me are you guys a couple now or not?“ Mrs John said “No mom, we are not a couple” Bella said looking sad “But you guys will eventually” Mrs John said “Mom!“ Bella said “it will be so great when you both are, then after you graduate from college we'll start the wedding preparation” Mrs John said laughing so hard “you got to be kidding me right now….. like seriously, I'm not even done with highschool and you're already talking about a wedding!“ Bella said looking surprised “My princess, there is nothing bad with that. I can't just wait to plan your wedding my jewel” Mrs John said with a smile on her face then someone came to remind her that the meeting will commence soon “My princess, Mom has to go now okay! We'll talk when I'm back from the meeting okay!“ Mrs John said “okay Mom, take care “ Bella said “bye” Mrs John hanged up the call and proceed to the board room. Bella was still relaxing on the couch “she is really something else. I can't believe that she's already planning my wedding and she is super excited about it. What a mom” she said as she stood up from the couch and made her way up to her room as she keep smiling rethinking all the spoke about especially the part that had to do with Joshua. She smiled all the way to her room and when she got there she fell on the bed and fell asleep right after.
