The doorbell rang for a second time, and Morgan hurried downstairs to answer. Opening the door, she smiled at Kathy, noting that she had also showered and changed from tank top and shorts into a flowing skirt and off-the-shoulder top. She looked like the gypsy her grandmother often called her. “You ready?” Kathy asked in the way of greeting. “Yes.” Morgan held up her keys as proof and pointed towards the waiting golf cart. “Our carriage awaits.” Kathy chuckled and led the way down the walk to the cart. Morgan hesitated a moment. Part of her wanted to run back up and finish her conversation with her aunt. But she had the feeling that Meredith had taken Kathy’s arrival as a way of getting out of answering Morgan’s questions, and wouldn’t be there even if she did go back. “What’s in the b
