My tongue was already sharpening the perfect retort when Damon leaned casually against the bathroom doorway, his arms crossed like he owned the damn place, and cut in before I could speak. “I’ll give you the fragmented relic,” he said smoothly, his voice low, velvety, dangerous. “But only if you reconcile with me.” My jaw nearly unhinged. Reconcile? With him? After everything? I blinked slowly, letting silence scream for me, then spat out uncontrollably, “Keep your relic.
