Lana's POV Isaac’s voice carried smoothly over the hall, confident yet edged with something that made my stomach tighten. “I would like to thank everyone for being here tonight,” he said, smiling broadly, glass in hand. “It means a lot that you all came to celebrate with me. But before we move on with the next phase of the evening, I have a special announcement.” The hall buzzed, the faint lull of conversation breaking out as people leaned closer, curious. My gaze flickered to him and then froze when I realized his eyes weren’t sweeping the crowd like they usually did. No. They were locked on me.
