It's 3 hrs later and outside dainnes house is awfully quiet,her mum had picked a deep side of californa to settle..the trees waving side to side from the gentle breeze are the only sounds keeping dainne from dying inwardly from the decision she was about to make...

She was pacing from side to side in her room.

"Never went to a party without informing my mum..never went to a party and stayed out till late night,plus without informing my mum!. Never have I ever had my head cut out for making a silly decision..without informing mum!"

She added feeling regretful about this decision,she was still walking from side wondering if there could be another way..she was having second thoughts..it's better to stop this before it's too late..she said,thinking outloud to herself afu come an hour late before dinner one time, and hell f**k^ng broke loose...

"even after knowing I had study lessons and lost track of time!" She sighed audibly

"Someone's having cold feet?" Ariana, who was her best friend and of course her golden ticket stood at the front of dianne's room with one hand into her ripped faded Jean pocket,with a crop top hanging just on her belly button,with a lifted hand to her chin wore an evil grin standing on the walls of her cornered sharp cheeks. Dianne didn't hear her come into the house."Admit it dude..you've not got the stomach of a spoilt teen," she said finally, without waiting for dianne's response whilst swerving her hips from side to side like a practiced runway princess..

"You're wrong..I've gat this..my mum's gone aloft,this would definitely bring her back"..she responded with a grimaced look,as if that would go to prove she's made her no turning point journey..

"You look good, by the way.." dainne added after having a good look of her best friend and smiled while trying the hardest to fathom why they had chosen each other to be best friends. Dianne had her qualities. Average tall,brown hazeled eyes,Kiki hair..caramel skin,one-sided dimple and a pointed nose..she herself was really beautiful..but like the saying goes.."Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

"You don't look bad yourself, "..Ariana responded, bending her head towards her lifted shoulder,walking towards her, and lifting up the hem of dianne's shirts. "But.. you know what would make you even prettier.."she asked rhetorically, giving Dianne a knowing look..

"No..no..please Don't ask me to apply some makeup.."dainne said with a give up look.

"And you need to take off that hood.."

"What?..this isn't a hoodie duh,"

"Yeah whatever..look if you're going to disobey your mum tonight..you have to do that not looking like an angel..she'll suspect you're still the same naive princess, going out like "that" actual dainne" she smirked bringing out both hands in the air to make up a rabbit's sign.."we want her to go back into mummy's character right?.."she asked looking all serious "so how can we do that if we don't give her valid reasons to do that?.."she added after I gave a nod.

"You're such a brilliant bad friend" dainne said giving up totally and slumped back into the arms of her chair.Ariana would always be ariana,and as soon as I called on her to give her the latest information of how weird my little life was turning..she quickly lit up and said she was amazed and bored all her life,she said she really needed this kind of drama in her own life. And I can believe it's unfolding right in front of her. Like i saidsaid,typical of Ariana.

"Don't forget to add up beauty to the accolades.." ariana replied, giggling

"I heard a new dude's in Town she stated with full excitement written all over her face..and dainne could sense a new passion springing up from her friends voice. Mainwhhile dianne's heart skipped a bit.. she knew who ariana was talking about..and of course she wasn't the only one who found this new guy madly attractive..other girls did.. and they were more hotter!

"Yeah I know" dainne replied,matching her voice with an opposite energy,but ariana didn't seem to notice..she had big things figured out for tonight..and trying to get the new guy to ask her out was part of her own personal plans..lets call it a bucket list.

Music filled the air,mixed with loud but swallowed voices of different shades of boys and girls,amazingly in their late teens and probably early twenties..most of the invitees in Bailey's party were final year high school students and ex student from last year who just gained admission into the same city college.

Smiles hung on every faces,drinks poured without limit,excessive alcohol and shisha's smell filled the air almost making it difficult for Dianne to breathe..she had regretted her actions for the 10th time now since she stepped into the house,one of those times was when Bailey had asked if she was invited,and when she in turn said No,the hottest went further to ask rhetorically.."Why do people go into where they aren't invited or needed either?" And as if waiting for dainne to reply that inglorious question, she had her hand folded akimbo shooting dead stares into dianne's eyes until ariana stepped in and gave one of those her magic speech. The suspense disappeared, and half the annoyance vanished from her face in a twink..!

"How do you ever do that?"dainne asked.. they were seated now beside the pool,watching every other person having some time of their life..ariana gaze seemed to be busy..she had something else on her mind.."Earth to ariana?"..

"Yeah?.." she replied,letting her glassy eyes rest on dainne.."What you saying?"

"Well, I wanted to know how you do it?.."

"Do what exactly?.."she raised her eyebrows, trying to catch meaning to dainnes words and also figure out where something was among the very many faces around..

"Okay??..can you tell Me what's going on? You've been eye searching for Sky knows who"

"I have no idea. What the hell do you mean.."she paused and gave a bulging eyes

.lacing her mouth with her hands and coughed dryly.."Hmm.. he's here,... she whispered underneath her breath..dainne couldn't hear her because of the music and decided to follow her gaze,wondering what was up with her friend.

"Oh my goodness..it's him!"Dainne mouthed the words all to herself,and her heart rate answered back,beating faster than their usual.
